Chapter 32 The veterinary clinic safehouse smelled of antiseptic, gun oil, and desperation. Dawn light filtered weakly through boarded windows as the remaining group gathered around a battered metal table. Marco lay in the next room, stable but still weak. Leo stood at the head of the table, maps and tablet screens glowing under harsh LED lights, his face carved from stone. “We’re not leaving Elena,” Leo said flatly. “She fucked up.
