Larissa’s Pov My phone buzzed as I drove back home. Lunch hadn’t been drive-through like I thought it would be. For some reason, I had decided to have a full-blown dining moment. It was nice. Well as nice as things could be, given the fact that there was a part of me that wished I was back on the beach island with Harl. He made eating fun. He would have loved to stop everything that I had ordered. My mind wandered back to the time I had tried having lunch outside with Zephan, he had commented on everything that I ordered, told me the carbs would do nothing but make me fat and lose value. It was a mess.I had spent the night trying to fight off the feeling of being broken, being put down. And Zephan? He had eaten, enjoyed his meal as if he hadn’t ruined my appetite. Larissa’s Pov “You have to take the video down,” I said, my tone shaky as I came to terms with what had just happened. Her face hardened in a frown, “Why?” Her tone was low, I could hear the way she was struggling to hold back her anger. “Lennie, please,” I begged, I wasn’t about to get into another confrontation with my best friend, not now, not ever.“You have to tell me why?” she asked. I stared at her, my eyes taking in my surroundings, “because I don’t want the world to see me as a woman that is a victim, I don’t want to be pitied, I refuse for blogs to carry the story and share it in ways that would remove any human form that I had,” I whispered. Larissa’s Pov When Harl said he had dinner planned, I hadn’t expected that I would walk into a restaurant that had been fully rented out to us.My eyes found him, standing by the table a smile on his face. God, he looks…my heart squeezed as I stared at him, wondering why it felt like butterflies were running a thousand miles in my stomach. He walked closer to where I stood, his smile bright as he stared at me, “You look divine,” he said in a low tone, his lips slowly brushing against mine. “You made me miss the chance of having to pick you up,” he teased, with a feign look of anger on his face. I chuckled, I would have loved that, but I had just come to terms with the fact that I was leaving my husband. “Well, I have always loved surprising you,” I said. He nodded, leaning over to me as he placed a kiss on my lips. My body trembled.I was doomed.This was more than just a crush. I was falling harder for him.

Harl’s Pov Her eyes widened in shock, but the look was quickly replaced with anger, “Excuse me?” A short laugh bubbled out of her. She shook her head as she walked toward the minibar. “Don’t push your luck Harl, don’t,” her tone serious as she stared at me. She wasn’t going to walk in here and think she could intimidate me. I moved towards where she stood, crowding her space, “What are you going to do?” my voice was low. Her eyes flickered to the pictures on the table, a dark smirk forming on her lips as she closed the distance between us, “she doesn’t know that you are her husband’s stepfather, does she?” My eye twitched as I locked my jaw, she smirked, “Well, let me put it in terms you would understand,” She paused, staring at me to be sure that she had my attention. “If I see you near her again, I will tell her everything myself, adding bits just to make sure it is spicy enough…” she chuckled. “And let’s see
