Kael's POV My father shot me a murderous glare—one that was clearly to warn me not to misbehave. I reluctantly dragged my feet to where my pack members were seated and had a seat on an empty chair beside my father. My father rose on his seat, adjusted his tie before walking to the far end of the chamber where the elders sat. “Long live the Elders,” my father greeted, bowing his head and the rest of us echoed in unison, rising on our feet. “Rise, Alpha Lucas,” one of the elders said, gesturing with his hand. “Thank you, Elders,” Father appreciated, lifting his head. And immediately he did, we all sat down. “So Alpha Lucas, why have you requested for this impromptu sitting? Is anything going on with your pack?” Another elder asked. My father cleared his throat, getting prepared to speak. As much as I tried focusing on the matter at hand, I couldn't bring myself to.
