Aria’s POV As soon as we reached where his luxurious black SUV car was parked, one of his guards tried opening the door for me, but Lucian stopped him. “Don’t,” he said, raising his finger. “I’m the only man allowed to open the door for her.” “Apologies, Alpha heir,” the guard bowed, stepping away. Lucian moved forward and pulled the front door open himself. “After you, my lady,” he said. “Thank you,” I muttered, climbing into the car carefully with his shoes still hanging loosely on my feet. “You can follow the guards. I’ll be driving the car myself,” he said, grabbing the car key from his driver, who dared not question his decision. He got into the driver's seat, put on the seat belt and just as he was to shut the door, his voice came. “Aria!” My heart skipped violently as the familiar voice hit my ear. I turned my head in the direction the voice came from and then, I saw him. Kael. He was storming furiously toward us. His expression was dark and unreadable. The

Aria’s POV Neither of us said anything till we reached the hospital. Lucian had insisted on getting my wrist treated before anything else. So, we had to stop by the hospital. After we were done, we headed straight to the restaurant, which was just about 10 minutes' drive away from the hospital. We pulled into the restaurant’s parking lot, and immediately I saw the sight before me, my eyes widened. The restaurant’s view was breathtaking. Golden lights reflected beautifully against the glass building while expensive cars filled the parking space outside. Lucian stepped outside before walking to my side and opened the door for me. “Here we go, my lady,” he dramatically said, stretching his hand forth for me to grab. For a moment, I hesitated, just staring at his hand before I grabbed it. The moment I placed my hand in his, his fingers wrapped firmly around mine. “Lucian, this place looks quite expensive. I don’t think I belong here,” I said as he helped me out. He stared at me

Aria’s POV By the time Lucian dropped me off at home, it was already dark. None of us said anything throughout our journey home. After what happened at the parking lot, Lucian figured out I needed some time alone, so he didn’t push further. He pulled in front of the Silverfang pack gate, the headlights slowly dimmed as the car engine stopped working. For a few seconds, none of us moved. The tension in the car was thick enough to make us choke. I waited for him to say something... anything, but when he didn’t, I reached for the door handle. “Aria,” his voice came from beside me, making me halt in my actions. I rested back into the seat, but I didn’t turn to face him. “Yes?” I responded, staring outside the window. “Are you still angry with me?” he asked in a low and cautious voice, as though he was scared of making me even angrier. The question caught me off guard. Slowly, I turned to face him, only to be met with his eyes which were filled with nothing but uncertainty and

Aria’s POV That night, as soon as I entered my room, I shut the door behind me. I rested against the door, my back sliding until my buttocks hit the floor. I didn’t know why, but I just kept sobbing. Was it Kael ridiculing me to nothing? Asking me to be his mistress while Vivienne became the Luna? Or Luna Beatrice entrusting Vivienne in my care? That night, I wished the world would just end. How could I live in the same house as the woman, my own mate... the man I loved, chose over me? Even though Kael came knocking and repeatedly called my name that night, I refused to answer. “Aria, I’m sorry. Please, let’s talk,” his muffled voice echoed from outside. I covered my ears tightly and buried my face into my knees. “Please, go away,” I whispered brokenly amid my tears. Silence enveloped everywhere before another knock landed on the door again. “Aria, please let’s talk,” his voice came again. A bitter laugh escaped my lips. Talk? What was left to talk about? What could h

Aria’s POV The aura radiating around Alpha Lucas was suffocating. Even the temperature in the room seemed to have been terrified that it dropped instantly. “Father?” Kael’s eyes widened in shock, immediately rising to his feet. Alpha Lucas didn’t say anything. He walked deeper into the room, his sharp gaze fixed on me. And the instant he noticed how my body was trembling and my tears-stained face, something terrifying flashed across his eyes. Was it rage? Or was it the dreadful desire to get his hands stained with blood? “Who,” he repeated slowly, his deep voice echoing through the four walls of the room. “Dared ask the future Luna of the Silverfang Pack to kneel?” No one answered. Not Luna Beatrice, not Kael, not Vivienne, not even Cassandra, who had been looking at me with contempt. Alpha Lucas stepped fully into the room, his eyes hardening with every step he took. “Are you all deaf?” he thundered, pointing his finger which was shaking out of rage, at them. “I asked a qu
