My Brother’s Fiancée is My Mate のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 51 - チャプター 60

ElaraIt literally felt like I was going insane.I turned around to look if the homeless guy was still there, and he wasn't.Like, he had disappeared into thin air, which made no sense because I knew what I saw.I tapped the Uber driver."Did you see some homeless guy?" I asked. He shook his head."No, ma'am," he replied politely.Everywhere I went for the past week, I kept seeing somebody who reminded me of Silas, and it felt like it was driving me insane.I didn't want to remember Silas.I didn't want to have anything to do with him.Not again. And it's been three years now. Why?Why was all this happening now?I dragged in a deep breath.I was not going to let anything ruin my happy moment.Today was all about Daniel and me, and nothing was going to ruin that. When we got to the restaurant, I got out of the Uber, and for a moment, I just stood outside."Forget about it," I whispered to myself. It was just my mind playing tricks on me.Whenever I was extremely happy, it felt like th

ElaraWhen I opened my eyes again, I was confused because I was no longer in my bed. I was in my pajamas, but in the middle of nowhere. The sky was dark, and I looked around. I was in a forest.“What the hell?”“Daniel. Daniel!”I yelled his name, but the only sound that came was my voice. There was no one else here, and I was completely alone.Immediately, I began running in a random direction because I was so afraid. My heart was racing so fast I could hear it in my ears.“Daniel,” I said again, looking around me.All I saw were woods—trees so high they looked like a canopy over me.How the hell did I get here? The last thing I remembered was holding my phone, then falling asleep. But what was I doing here?Suddenly, I started hearing footsteps—like someone’s feet crunching leaves.“Hello?” I said.At first, I was certain it was one person. But all of a sudden, the sound multiplied. It wasn’t just one person anymore, and they were moving very fast.I began running, and I heard it fo

ElaraThroughout the night, I couldn't sleep. I just kept tossing and turning in bed.Daniel was fast asleep. I knew he had had a long day, and I wasn't going to wake him or disturb him.I just felt so restless, and what Darius had said today kept ringing in my head.Even after rejecting the mate bond between the two of us, was there some invisible string still attaching us together? That was something I didn't want. No.Did I still love Silas?I asked myself that question over and over again, and I knew the answer, but I wasn't going to accept it because I already belonged to someone else.I turned to Daniel, who was sleeping peacefully beside me, and I just ran my hand over his face. His skin was so soft, and Daniel was just so gentle. He was perfection, nothing like Silas.I didn't want to ruin what we had, but I just kept having this fear and anxiety that I would.I got out of bed, walked to my laptop, which was open on my desk, and I began writing.Writing usually calmed me down—

ElaraDaniel stood frozen. What he said, the expression on his face—it was pure confusion.I hadn't planned on telling him. I wasn't actually planning on telling him anything at all, but definitely not yet."I'm a werewolf," I said again."I think you need a seat," Darius said, moving away from the door and giving him enough space to step in.When he was in the room behind us, he just walked into the bed."What do you mean you're a werewolf?""Like, we shift into werewolves, and we can shift back into our human form," Darius said before I got the opportunity to even say a single word. He had this annoying expression on his face while explaining to Daniel, like he was talking to a three-year-old child."Do you think I'm stupid?" Daniel asked."What? No.""So, while you're cheating on me with some random stranger at this disgusting place, the first lie you could come up with is something from your fictional book? Elara, what have I ever done to you to make you want to hurt me this much?

ElaraWhen I opened my eyes again, it was morning, and I remembered falling asleep in Daniel's arms, but he wasn't in bed.I had told him everything. Well, not everything per se. I had told him everything I felt like he needed to know because if I went any further, it was going to shatter everything, and I didn't want that.I got out of bed slowly and went downstairs only to find Daniel in the kitchen making breakfast, and from where I stood at the very end of the stairs, I just watched him closely. Not because of what Darius had said to me, but because of how lucky I felt.I knew the game Darius was playing, and I wasn't going to allow myself to fall for that. Silas was my past, and nothing was going to change that, and it was absolutely sad to see him advocating for Silas, the same person who..."You're awake," Daniel said, distracting me.I walked towards him, and without a single word, I just hugged him from behind."Wow, what is all this about?""Do you want me to stop?"
