The Whole Truth

Chapter 31Earl’s POV I woke up hearing Eva laying into Freya. How dare she imply that the Alpha position was never Shane’s? It was supposed to be mine, and then his. It was our birthright. One that had been so cruelly taken away from both of us. How dare she try to imply that she deserved the title? She deserves nothing. It was never hers in the first place. I could tell that Freya was injured. I knew that she had jumped into the fight because of what Eva had done to our son. I never thought that Eva could beat Shane. It was unbelievable. I lay still because I was gathering my strength. I kept my eyes closed because I wanted to catch her unaware. I was just waiting for her to put her back to me again so I could end that bitch, just like she killed Shane. I had originally thought Freya had jumped in to kill Eva for killing our son. I was actually glad that she had jumped in here with me this time. I wanted us to kill her together. But hearing Eva go on and on about how Freya w

The Guilty are Dealt With

Chapter 32Eva’s POV “Kiara, I will defer to you in this. Whatever you decide to do to Freya is fine by me. She dragged us all into this just because she didn’t get to be the Luna. She mentioned my demotion to me every single day. She kept it fresh in our minds this entire time. Pushing me, pushing Mom, in order for us to stay angry over the humiliation I had been dealt. I never realized the reason she had done that was never for me. It was all because she felt slighted. I never realized how duplicitous she truly was. The only thing I ask is that my punishment be swift,” Earl cried over to me. It was clear that he had finally realized that his mate had caused this entire ordeal. “Deal,” I replied. I used my powers and quickly snapped his neck. Death was instantaneous for him. He didn’t suffer. I doubt he even had time to realize what was about to happen before it was all over. I didn’t move from my spot. I watched Freya as she realized just how serious the situation she was in ac

Back to Stone Fall

Chapter 33Eva’s POV The next morning, things were quiet around the pack. My grandfather had gone back home with some warriors to pack up his clothing the night. He was coming back this morning with his belongings to live in the pack. Everything else left in the house would be sold along with it. I was glad that he would be here, with us. I knew that he was hurting, still mourning Elaine. I hadn’t wanted to hurt him, none of us had. It was unfortunate, but he was smart enough to break their bond. He didn’t want to have anything to do with her after finding out what she had done. At dinner last night, my mother and father had discussed what I wanted to do with the Stone Fall pack. They had gone there in anger, but they were calmer now that the perpetrators had been dealt with. We had discussed everything at length last night about what we actually wanted to do. I had made a decision not to kill the entire pack. Only the guilty would be punished. My parents and I thought that o

Deflecting Blame

Chapter 34Claudia’s POV That fucking bitch should have stayed dead. How dare she try to shame me in front of my own pack? I knew what Alpha Dominic said, but who believed him? She died, I saw it with my own eyes. We all thought that Alpha Dominic was in full panic mode; he was losing it. His actions were just making the pack want Donovan to take over sooner, which I was good with. Because that meant I would be rising along with him. No one believed him until people tried to leave the pack. Once we all tried to leave, and failed. Then the pack members all panicked, but I held firm. I pointed out to them, asking when anyone in the history of our kind has been allowed to wipe out an entire pack without some serious punishment being handed down. The high council wouldn’t allow it, as packs would be at each other’s throats trying to off the weaker packs just to increase their land and pack members. It just didn’t make sense. They calmed down after that. But when Eva and her group

Time's Up

Chapter 35Reese’s POV The minute Donovan appeared, we all knew where he had been. It was appalling behavior, and despite knowing that he was like this, it was still shocking that he appeared before us like this. The She-wolfs scent was all over him. I knew what he was trying to do. There was a reason he hadn’t put his shirt on before he came running out. He wanted to seduce my daughter, but whatever he was trying, it wasn’t going to work. He held my daughter down for his chosen mate to kill. There wasn’t any coming back from this. The fact that he even thought that he had a chance with Eva was almost making me laugh. We weren’t here for him to try to talk her into being with him and becoming the Luna there. That wasn’t going to happen. We were here to dole out punishment, not give him a love connection. He just didn’t know that the Moon Goddess had already broken their bond for his actions. It was gone forever, no matter what he wanted now. Seeing the hopeful look on his f

You Didn't Have to Kill Her

Chapter 36Eva’s POV I wasn’t really going to let her suffocate. I just wanted Claudia to think I was going to. I had no intention of prolonging any of this. We needed to get back home soon. We’re supposed to be present at the pack to greet our guests who are scheduled to start arriving by noon. I was looking forward to the celebration now, too. I was very excited to meet the allies my parents have been wanting to introduce me to. I had made the decision not to kill the entire pack on my own. I know how things go. I also knew how peer pressure worked. I wasn’t going to lower myself to sink to their level. I knew that Dad, Mom, and the twins all wanted to work out their frustrations. My grandfather also wanted to be included in that group. But looking around, and seeing the silent judgment coming from the pack. I knew that I needed to speak and then deal with them myself. Dominic, Donovan, and Claudia deserved to bear the brunt of the punishment. I remember the real fear I

The End of Alpha Dominic

Chapter 37Kiara’s POV I knew that Eva couldn’t fight anyone at the moment. She was too weak. She had killed close to 80 people in the span of forty seconds. I was honestly surprised at how well she did. That kind of power wasn't a small feat. She hasn’t had a lot of training, and I wasn’t sure if she would be able to take out such a large group as she did. I was glad that she was the one to do it. It showed the entire pack that their claim of her not having a wolf or any powers was a thing of the past. Eva didn't brag; she didn't call anyone out. I am quite sure that the pack members knew who the worst of them were. They know, but they don't confront. Either because they're scared of them, or because they know what will happen to them if they do. So they chose to ignore the problem, as if it didn't matter. That is not how to run a pack. Dominic had really done a number on this pack. It was to their benefit that Eva dealt with the ones who were the biggest issue. Eva knew who

Claudia's Last Stand

Chapter 38Eva’s POV I was slowly getting some strength back, but I couldn’t stand on my own just yet. The sound of Claudia’s shrill voice crying out and encouraging Donovan was grating on my nerves. I guess she was going to drag this out to the bitter end. Pretending to love him when all she loved was the idea of being Luna. There was no other reason for her to make the deal she had with Donovan. You don’t allow someone you love to sleep with other she-wolves. That was the entire reason why he chose her. She was willing to look the other way on his little indiscretions. She was willing to do that because it was different with them being chosen mates. They didn’t feel the pain of betrayal as an actual true mate would. They might sense the other she-wolf’s scent on his skin, but the pain that comes with being fated mates, wasn’t there. So, that made it much easier for her to look the other way. But I knew her; she was just playing along for now. She might even be able to do

Ready to Deal with the Rats

Chapter 39Eva’s POV I needed to rest once we returned to the pack. I was still tired from handing out the bulk punishment at Stone Fall. My mother ordered lunch to be made and sent to my room, while I took my shower. I was glad to eat before resting. My parents greeted the visitors without me. Telling them that I would be introduced during the sparring matches tonight. Most were interested in seeing me. They wanted to gauge my strength before deciding what to do next. There was more curiosity about me than concern about my capabilities. Mom told me that they fielded questions from each guest who arrived. They were all looking forward to meeting me because I was an unknown. They also wanted to know how old I was now. But what they really wanted to know was who I took after. Did I have a wolf? Or was I a witch like my mother? Was I trained? Some of them felt the same as my grandmother, that a witch had no place ruling over a pack. My mother was a Luna, and that was more widely

Friend or Foe?

Chapter 40Eva’s POV Elise didn’t have a filter. She said whatever came into her mind, but I liked that about her. She was honest, almost brutally so, and she was funny. I was looking forward to meeting her parents. They raised a great daughter, which spoke volumes to me. I was looking forward to getting to do things that I hadn’t been able to before. Like going shopping with Elise, talking about boys, and just grabbing lunch. All without worrying about whether I was going to get caught relaxing. It would be awesome to spend time with someone I could trust, besides my parents, grandfather, and the twins. I could talk about things other than training and how to run a pack. I knew that I needed someone like her to help me decompress. She looked like a living doll, with her blonde hair and bright blue eyes. I could tell from how physically fit she was that she was no pushover. She just used her looks to lure you into thinking that she was a sweet and innocent girl. But if you wen
