Sophie’s POV The darkness swallowed me completely. For a moment, there was nothing, no sound, no feeling, just cold emptiness pressing against my mind. And this was what terrified me the most. Then Lucas’s heartbeat drummed against my chest, faint but steady, pulling me back. I gasped awake on the cavern floor.
