Emily’s POV “So, what about your work?” Julian asked Will. “I heard you’ve been busy lately because you’re still adjusting to your company, right?” Will took a sip of his wine and nodded. “Well, I don’t really like business, but I have no choice. My dad only trusts me to continue his business. We also invested in your hockey team, you know” Julian’s eyes widened. “Oh, really? I just found out about that. Right now, I’m just focusing on training to join the international team. I’ll be joining them in a few days.” “In a few days?” I said, turning to Julian. “You didn’t even tell me, Mom, or Dad. We thought you’d already joined the team.” Julian shrugged, cutting into his steak. “Oh, about that, it’s hard to explain, but the coach said I’ll be transferred in a few days.” I noticed Will kept stealing glances at me across the table. His gaze felt too intense, too interested. It made me uncomfortable. I couldn’t just leave and disrespect Julian, but I wanted to be anywhere else. “B
