Chapter 31. Unexpected kiss

Noa rolled his eyes. "Seriously?" "It hurts." "You'll survive." Leon looked offended. "Coach Finn said to handle me gently." The complaint sounded suspiciously childish. Noa finally looked at him. "Stop whining." For a moment, Leon's lips twitched.Almost a smile. Noa unscrewed the ointment cap. The sharp scent filled the air immediately. Meanwhile, Leon continued staring.Unapologetically. Very obvious like he wasn't even trying to hide it anymore and Noa felt it. He seemed to call Noa’s attention with every glance. It made Noa’s pulse strangely uneven. "Will you stop gazing at me like that?" The question slipped out before he could stop it. Leon's eyebrows rose. At last, exactly what he wanted. A little conversation. "Like what?" "You know exactly what I mean." "No. I don't." Noa shook his head and dipped his fingers into the ointment. “Stop making me uncomfortable.” When he looked up again, Leon was still watching him. Still co

Chapter 32. Hard tease

As Noa leaned in again, and their lips met, Leon kissed him back immediately. Like he'd been waiting for it. Like he'd wanted it for far longer than he was willing to admit. The realization sent Noa's heart racing faster. Leon's hand found the back of his neck, pulling him closer. For a few seconds, the locker room disappeared. There was no hockey, no rivalry, and no arguments, just them in their unseen world. When they finally pulled apart, both were breathing harder than before.Neither spoke. Neither seemed to know what to say. Noa stared at him. Really stared, without the anger, without frustration, or endless arguments that had defined every interaction between them. Leon looked different somehow. He was softer and vulnerable. That sight alone made Noa's chest tighten. He kissed Leon’s nose and mummured his name. He kissed his lips lightly, then his cheek, then went up to his ear, He gave a little bite, making Leon gasped. Leon tightened his arm around hi

Chapter 33. Simple joke

“Fuck Noa, Noa.” Leon chanted his name as the sensation overwhelmed him. Noa paused, pulled his cheek and kissed him lightly. His eyes snapped open and gazed at Noa. He was almost trembling as he wondered why he stopped. Without asking the question, Noa can read the question in his eyes. “Well, you said I should stop. Or should I continue…?” Before Noa could finish the words, Leon grabbed his hand and placed it on his cock. Noa smiled and grabbed it. “Aah Noa,” He muttered and threw his head back. His eyes fluttered closed again. Then Noa paused again and went down to his knees. Leon’s eyes open just in time to see him on his knees. “ What are you…. “ Before he could complete the question, Noa’s mouth was on his cock. “Oh fuck,” Leon nearly screamed. The warmth of Noa’s mouth spread straight to his brain, losing something in there. Noa took his length in gradually and started the back and forth motion, increasing the rhythm gradually. Leo

Chapter 34. Tell me

"Yes, Noa. You need to forget about him and focus." The voice in his head sounded annoyingly reasonable. Noa clenched his jaw. "Easy for you to say.” He responded to his mind angrily. Then looked down on his cock. “And you little guy, isn't it time you relax mhh.” He told his cock as it throbbed again. “Fuck,” he cursed and grabbed it.The sensation drove through him instantly. He started stroking gently. His eyes fluttered closed, “Oh fuck” he gasped as picture of Leon stood before him, the memories of their kissing moments a while ago came crashing back to his mind. “Oh Leon,* he muttered as his speed increased. “Aah, fuck,” he continued. Then faster, and faster. He stroked harder and faster until, “Shit, oh fuck, oh fuck” he muttered as his cum spilled. His chest heaving, his breath uneven as his eyes flew open instantly. “Damn it Leon, I don't just get you.”He muttered angrily. He cleaned up himself under the shower. Then grabbed his towel and roughly

Chapter 35. Confused honesty

Their breaths mixed as their heart raced. Both were painfully aware of how close they were standing. Leon's hands clenched at his sides. "You really want honesty?" "Yes." A bitter smile appeared on his lips. "Fine." Leon said as he looked directly into his eyes. And for the first time, there was nowhere to hide. "I don't know what I want." The confession hit harder than a slap. Noa froze. Leon laughed softly, but broken and frustrated. "I hate that you're constantly in my head." Noa's heart skipped. "I hate that every time I see you, I notice you." The hallway suddenly felt too small, but hot and dangerous. Leon's voice dropped. "And I hate that I can't figure out why. Why can't you get the fuck out of my head hmm?" The words shattered something inside Noa. Because they sounded exactly like his own thoughts. For a moment neither spoke or moved. The tension stretched tighter, and tighter. Until it felt like a single spark could destroy the

Chapter 36. Fighting hard

The grin spreading across her face told him she didn't believe a word. For the first time that afternoon, the heaviness inside his chest eased. Bella was hurt, but she was alive. She was smiling. And as Noa sat beside her hospital bed holding her hand, he silently promised himself what he always did. No matter what happened. No matter how hard life becomes. He would always protect her. Noa left the hospital feeling lighter than he had in days. Bella was alright. Bruised and injured, yes, but she was smiling. The image of her laughing at his expense still lingered in his mind as he stepped down from the public bus and started walking home. He felt like he could breathe. Then his phone buzzed. The sound cut through his peace.Noa pulled out the phone and glanced at the screen. His heart immediately skipped at the name. It was Gabe, one of debt collectors boys. The relief he'd been carrying evaporated instantly. "Goddamn it," he muttered. His payment wasn

Chapter 37. Tough comparison

He returned to Diamond's recording and replayed the first few seconds. Then back to Leon…then to Diamond. Then again to Leon. He ran both hands through his hair in frustration. Their voices had close similarities, not identical. But close enough to make his chest tighten. The same deep tone. The same slight pause before certain words. The same calm confidence. Noa leaned forward. His heart was beating faster now. "You're imagining things." He whispered. Then he played both recordings again. The longer he listened, the less certain he became. Maybe he was forcing the similarities. Maybe because Leon had occupied his thoughts far more than he wanted to admit. Everywhere he looked lately, he somehow found Leon. At training. In the locker room. At sports lectures.Even in his dreams. Especially in his dreams. Noa groaned and rubbed his face."This is getting unhealthy." He said loudly and yet he couldn't stop. He opened another recording from Diamond. Then an

Chapter 38. Crack in hatred

With his last spoken words, the tension eased just a little. "Most people only see goals and assists. I see someone who could play at a much higher level someday." Leon's heart raced. Ever since he was a kid, professional hockey had been his dream. The possibility felt intoxicating. "That's a huge compliment." "It isn't a compliment." Sebastian's eyes remained fixed on him."It's the truth." Then Sebastian smiled and stepped back. "Think about the offer. I'll wait for your answer." Leon nodded. "Okay." The assistant coach turned and started down the stairs.Halfway down, he glanced back. For a brief moment, something unreadable flickered across his face.Something warm, almost affectionate, but then it disappeared. He licked his lips, smiled and waved. "Good night, Leon." "Good night." Sebastian left with him. Leon remained alone in the stands staring at the back of the man. “Why does that coach always look at me like that? Like he likes me.”

Chapter 39. Misunderstood

As the voice echoed through the locker room. Both of them froze. “Nath’s voice followed. "Check one of the shower stalls," Leon reacted instantly. He stepped back and moved beneath a different showerhead, putting space between them before anyone could walk in and catch them together. "Cap, you there?" The guy shouted again. Noa cleared his throat, trying to steady his breathing. "Yeah. What do you want?" "Coach Finn said you're not answering your phone. He wants you to call him back when you're done." "Alright. I'll do that." "Okay." His footsteps faded away. Silence returned. Noa turned. Leon was already staring at him. The intensity in his eyes made Noa's heart race. Within seconds Leon had closed the distance between them again. "Noa," he whispered. Noa reached up and cupped his cheek gently. "What am I supposed to do about you, hmm?" For the first time since Leon came into the shower stall, he looked uncertain, and vulnerabl

Chapter 40. Kiss me

Noa had seen it, and Leon knew he had. The realization sent a jolt through both of them. The tension became unbearable. Then suddenly from one of the apartment’s opened windows above them. "Will you two love birds kiss already?" “Yeah, do it. I hate suspense.” said another voice from another window. The voices echoed through the night. Both guys jumped apart instantly. “Oh, fuck you two joy killers.” The voice sounded disappointed as a window slammed shut. Then another window followed and another. Silence followed. Noa felt heat rush to his face. Leon looked equally horrified. For one ridiculous moment neither knew what to say or do. Finally Noa grabbed his bag. "I need sleep." Leon nodded. "Yeah, we should go inside." “Inside?” “Yeah, I told my Dad I couldn't make it home tonight. I've been waiting for you since after practice. You're gonna let me sleep out here?” Noa turned without responding and headed toward the entrance. Halfway to the door,
