The Famous Hockey Star Is My Patient のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 11 - チャプター 20

IVY'S POV Sunlight crept across the penthouse floors earlier than I wanted it to.I barely slept after leaving Ronan’s room, my mind replaying that soft brush of his fingers against my hair on loop. By the time I stepped into the kitchen, I’d already changed into fresh workout leggings and a loose Defenders hoodie, determined to keep today strictly professional. The coffee machine hummed as I prepared two mugs, adding a splash of the oat milk I’d found in the fridge yesterday.Ronan emerged a few minutes later, wheeling himself in with slower movements than usual. Dark circles sat under his eyes, and his hair looked like he’d run his hands through it more than once. He accepted the coffee I slid toward him without comment, but his fingers lingered on the mug handle longer than needed.“Sleep okay?” I asked, keeping my voice neutral.“Enough.” He took a sip, eyes flicking up to meet mine over the rim. Something unspoken passed between us from last night, thick and heavy. He looked a

IVY'S POVDusk settled over the city, turning the penthouse windows into mirrors of deep orange and purple.I wiped down the stability ball after our latest set, trying to ignore how aware I was of every movement Ronan made behind me. The day had stretched long with steady progress—better range of motion, fewer sharp winces—but the real challenge wasn’t his knee anymore. It was the growing pull between us that refused to stay quiet.“Ready for the last one?” I asked, turning around.Ronan sat on the edge of the wide armchair, leg extended on the ottoman I’d pulled over. He looked tired but determined, the kind of look that made my chest feel tight. “Hit me with it.”I brought over a set of light dumbbells and positioned myself beside him. “Seated shoulder presses with a twist. Keep the movement controlled. This will help with your stick handling balance once you’re back in net.”He took the weights and started the reps while I spotted him, hands hovering near his elbows for form. Th

IVY'S POV The next morning arrived with a quiet kind of storm.I woke up earlier than usual, the faint sound of rain tapping against the penthouse windows pulling me from restless dreams. After a quick shower, I made my way to the kitchen and started preparing breakfast — scrambled eggs with spinach and turkey bacon, something hearty to fuel the day’s rehab. My mind refused to quiet down after last night. The feeling of Ronan’s fingers in my hair, our foreheads pressed together, the way his breath had mixed with mine… it all lingered like a song stuck on repeat.Ronan appeared in the doorway a little later, moving carefully from his room. He looked slightly more rested, though the shadows under his eyes hadn’t completely faded. The wheelchair hummed softly as he approached the island.“Smells decent,” he said, voice still rough with sleep.I slid a plate toward him with a small smile. “High praise coming from you.”We ate together, the rain providing a steady background rhythm. Con

IVY'S POV The stir-fry ended up tasting better than anything I’d cooked in weeks. We ate at the island, stealing glances between bites like two teenagers who had just shared their first secret. The rain had eased into a soft drizzle, creating a gentle backdrop that made the penthouse feel even more like our own little world. Ronan’s eyes kept finding mine, softer now, carrying a warmth I hadn’t seen in him before. After dinner, he reached for my hand without hesitation, tugging me gently toward the couch. I settled beside him carefully, mindful of his leg, but he pulled me closer until I was curled against his side, my head resting on his shoulder.“This feels surreal,” I murmured, tracing small circles on his chest with my finger.Ronan pressed a kiss to the top of my head. “In a good way, I hope.”“In the best way.” I tilted my face up to look at him. “I keep waiting for someone to knock on the door and tell me this is crossing every line.”He chuckled softly, the sound vibrating

IVY'S POV The afternoon carried a lazy kind of peace I wasn’t used to.I sat cross-legged on the floor sorting through resistance bands by strength level while Ronan worked on his upper body with the lighter dumbbells. Every few minutes I’d glance up and catch him watching me instead of focusing on his reps. That new softness in his eyes still surprised me every time.“You’re supposed to be counting,” I reminded him with a playful smile.“I am counting,” he said, voice warm. “Counting how many times you bite your lip when you’re concentrating.”Heat rushed to my face. I stood up and moved behind him, placing my hands on his shoulders to help with posture. The muscle there felt solid and warm under my palms. I leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to the back of his neck.“Distraction isn’t part of the program, Hale.”He set the weights down and reached back to catch my hand, pulling me around until I stood in front of him. “Maybe I need a new program.”Before I could respond, he tugg
