Natalie’s POV I stared at him in shock... did he just say my thigh... He wants to draw the tattoo on my thigh?“Are you out of your freaking mind Lucien?” I asked sternly “That’s the only hidden place…”“And yours? Where will yours be?”“You pick… I don’t mind” he said grinning “I haven’t really picked a place yet…”“You know this whole tattoo thing is for your benefit... so you could differentiate between me and my twin brother so you need to pick a place that you can easily spot on me” He walked a bit closer then whispered to my ear… “Now… I’ve picked a place… lie down… I’ll draw it”“Are you sure about it being on my thigh?”“Yes 100% sure”“I’ll do yours on your hand a bold imprint of two words”“What two words?”“We’re going to keep it simple…” “Like?”“Since we’re going to be together…” I paused turning his back towards the bed and pushing him unto it… “I want the tattoo to spell out ‘mio’”“…Meaning?” He asked raising a brow at me“It means…” I paused then stared at him “J

Lucien’s POVI picked the recording chip up once more before slipping it into the drawer of my desk, destroying it would only get rid of evidence…Keeping it might help me figure out who planted it.After making sure the box was hidden properly beneath my bed, I walked over to my desk and switched on the monitor connected to Natalie's room. She was sitting on the edge of her bed, absentmindedly flipping through a magazine. She looked calm before a knock came from her door.I leaned forward to check who it was …Father…Although I couldn't hear everything clearly, I could read enough from their expressions. After a few moments, he spoke more clearly."We're leaving this evening." Natalie looked confused."For what?" she replied calmly "A business trip." She looked at him suspiciously before nodding."...Okay." Father gave a satisfied nod and left her room."So he's taking all of us." I murmured That didn't sit right with me…business trips usually involved executives not me, not Natalie…

Natalie’s POV“Lucien…” I whispered from across the table, but it really didn’t help because I knew from the look on his face, he was about to make a wrong decision without thinking it through “Excuse me?” He repeated himself louder this time so the guy could hear him… the guy turned to face him while adjusting his glasses “Sorry, can I help you?” The guy said “No…I’m the one that is meant to be asking you that, any problem?” He paused raising a brow at him while the guy just stared at him… short of words…people sitting close to Lucien and the guy started to turn in their direction…“Problem with what?” “You’ve being staring… much longer than you should”“Who?” “My sister… who else…”“If she’s your sister… then you better chill out bro just admiring God’s gift to nature” “Admiring?”“Yes… I am…”“Careful… try not to admire too much… especially if what or whom you’re admiring is not yours”“Are you her brother or her fiancée, you keep talking like you own her or something”I st

Lucien’s POVWe arrived at the gala; some people were just arriving while some had already arrived a long time ago…Cassian stepped out first…. As always. He adjusted the cuff of his black tuxedo before offering Father a hand. Father accepted with a nod, straightening his jacket as a few photographers stationed near the entrance snapped discreet pictures of arriving guests… I stepped out after them followed my Natalie Father glanced over his shoulder."Remember why we're here." I slipped my hands into my pockets then looked at him sternly "To pretend we enjoy small talk?” Cassian chuckled before replying "I was going to say networking." Father shook his head at us."I expect both of you to behave.""I always behave," Cassian answered smoothly as I raised an eyebrow at him"That's the biggest lie you've told all week.” He murmured.Father sighed before leading us through the towering doors…He barely made it three steps before several businessmen intercepted him."Mr. Moretti!""It's

Natalie's POVThe tension was getting out of hand…I had to leave to avoid any more arguments…I pushed my chair back from the dining table, forcing a polite smile onto my face. "I'll excuse myself."I barely took a step forward before Camille stopped me holding onto my arm "Where are you going?" she paused before turning towards Lucien “…I was only trying to get to know you Natalie, right Lucien...Surely you're not leaving because of me?"A few family members exchanged awkward glances while others pretended to focus on their desserts."If anything I said offended you...then I'm sorry."I didn’t give her a reply…I just slowly relieved my wrist from her grip then she continued with her fake apology "I'd really love for you to stay a little longer."I tightened my other hand around the back of my chair…every instinct told me to leave before she found another way to make me feel embarrassed…But walking away now would only give her exactly what she wanted, she wanted everyone to think I
