Chapter 110. Tori's POV If I could just materialize into the bed, I would have done that already. Monica was looking at me with all the judgement in the world. I knew what this looked like, even though the truth was far from innocent. This was Adrian's room, and I was in my nightwear. I felt the bed, hoping that Adrian didn't leave her to face his sister alone. I was hoping that he just stepped out into the bathroom. "What are you doing here, Victoria?" Monica asked in a calm, but terrifying voice. "Um, nothing. Good morning." I scratched my hair. I looked guilty as hell. "So, this is what's going on? You choose to sleep wherever you want in this house?" "No, Monica." "Oh, so you're his personal prostitute. That's the only explanation for why you are in his room right now." At this moment, I jumped out of the bed and started to arrange it. "Monica, I only slept in Adrian's bed because my.... Tummy was hurting..." "Yeah, right." "Where is Adr

Chapter 112. Tori's POV I had never been arrested in my entire life, and the first time I was put behind bars, it was for something I didn't fucking do. If I had a hundred million dollars would I be a fucking babysitter? Would I have allowed my ex-husband to treat me like shit? Like the bank, Monica didn't have to wait for the police to attend to us, they take us straight to the Chief's office. "Miss Lancaster, it's been been a while. Please have a sit." He said. "Your companion looks very familiar, is this not the CEO of Tee's House of fashion? It's been the talk of the city..." "Yes, yes, she is the one." Monica said, a little bit impatient. "What is the problem you've brought to the police today?" He asked, sitting down. "A report of theft, Chief. This woman worked for my brother for months, and we just found out that she stole some money for him." The chief eyes glued on me. "You mean this beautifully lady is a thief?" "Don't let her looks deceive y

Chapter 114. Adrian's POV When I finally got back to the house, I met Kylian carefully watching as Tori rocked a sleeping Arthur in her arms. "He was crying the whole day." Kylian whispered to me. "Where has Tori been?" Tori didn't take her eyes off her son, and I felt my heart squeezed with pain. Only if I was able to be contacted quicker. "Kylian, can you go to bed and give Tori and I some time to speak alone? You need to do your homework anyway." I said. He was a good kid, so that meant that he didn't argue or throw a tantrum, he just decided to go. He kissed Tori's cheek, gently touched Arthur's hand, before he left. I sat down next to Tori, but she still wouldn't look at me. Honestly, I wouldn't blame her. "Can I, um, stay in the house tomorrow? I feel guilty for leaving Arthur for the whole day, I need to make it up to him." She sniffled. "You don't need to ask me for permission before doing that, you are your own boss, you can give yourself even

Chapter 116. Tori's POV To be honest, I was relieved that Monica was showing me some kindness at the moment as we drove Kylian to school, she played the song as loud as possible. "You know, I think we should go over to Grandma's house someday." Monica suggested, looking at Kylian through the mirror. "Yes, please!" Kylian could hardly sit in his chair. "We should take Arthur too, I'm sure that he will love him as much as I do!" "Oh, silly, grandmother is old and will probably get a headache when you try to explain to her how you and Arthur are brothers when you don't share a parent." Monica joked. I realized that she apologized, but she was still stiff when it came to some subjects. I guess she would come around little by little. "Oh, you don't have to worry about that, Aunt Monica! I'm sure Kylian understands that he and Arthur are just friends. Like his daddy and I!" I smiled widely, trying so hard to pacify her. "No! No! No! Arthur is my brother! Daddy is

Chapter 118. Adrian's POV My hand gently brushed down her beautiful hair as I stared into her eyes. "Tori, I mean this with all the love in the world. Are you crazy?" She laughed, but I wasn't laughing, I was convinced that she was crazy. That was the only explanation to the fact that she wanted to donate part of her liver to Monica, who tried to kill her in an accident. Was I crazy to believe that Monica was actually looking to mend things with Tori. I guess I was just gullible. I thought that Tori would finally be good enough for Monica, but I was wrong. "Do you realize that they will need at least fifty percent of your liver to save her life?" I told her. "I am willing to give that. The liver can be regenerated." She chuckled. "We can't allow anything to happen to Monica, she is your only sibling." "She tried to kill you." I reminded her of the obvious. "I'm sure she didn't mean it like that. She was angry, and you know how much hate can poison he
