KARAI was colossally fucked. Miles' rough palms kneaded my body as if I weren't made of toned muscle. I was putty in his bear-sized hands which left a trail of fire in their wake as they moved up and down my body. Flames licked down my spine, igniting a wild, raging fire between my legs. The wetness that collected between my folds permeated the air with the sweet scent of my arousal. He pried himself away, a growl of longing rumbling in his chest. I had never known a man to gaze upon me the way Miles did at this moment. My heart and stomach did a synchronized flutter and blood rushed to color my cheeks. I wasn't shy but, right now, all my confidence had evacuated my body and I wasn't sure what to do with myself. A cheeky smirk found its way to Miles' rugged face, "I want you, Red Wolf. I want you for who you are. I don't care if you feel like you're inexperienced. I've watched the way you've fought off multiple people. I've watched you take care of your pack with nothing but affe

KARA“You'd better get settled in because you’re going to be here for a while. Your alpha won’t be back anytime soon,” Jess’s red-stained lips kicked up in a characteristic smirk—something I was now so used to, I managed to brush it off with ease. “Has there been any feedback?” Saylor had helped me gather my things early this morning so Denver and I could move into the pack house. With Miles gone, Orion didn’t think it safe to have me on Miles’s half of the pack so a rather rustic painted room with ornate furniture became my new home, “I know you’re not a fan of me, Jess, but I do care about them. They’ve been through more than I’d wish on anyone. I need to know that he’s okay out there.”A sliver of warmth defrosted Jess’s glacier expression, and when her shoulders dropped, it felt as if we finally found ourselves some common ground for civility, “He’s our best tracker and he’s strong. He didn’t become a true alpha by being a pussy. He’ll be fine. I’m only warning you that he may no

KARA A blazing inferno licked up my body at a torturous, unyielding pace the moment Orion extracted himself from me. I braced myself against the cold tiles of the shower wall as I fought to keep my balance with wobbly knees. It was pain I had never felt before in places I never knew existed and it hit me so suddenly that I wasn’t prepared for the torrent that pulled me under. My only reprieve was Orion’s large hands working my body while his tongue did delirious things between my thighs. Only, he dragged me to the precipice of pleasure and then violently yanked me away in the last second, torturing me further instead of letting me fall to my oblivion where the fire no longer existed and the caress of satisfaction lulled the pain. A whine—small and almost dog-like—lodged in my throat. The scent of arousal hung in the air like smoke—thick and intoxicating, an invitation for Orion to take me in any way he pleased. And yet, he invited a cold draft to take his place instead of quelling

KARAThere was an unmistakable skip in my step as I trekked through the pack house halls. Each time someone’s head turned in my direction, each time they sniffed the air with wide-eyed shock my chin tipped a bit higher and my smile stretched a bit wider. Two weeks ago, I would have squashed the thought of being mated to Orion; I would have tucked it into the darkest corners of the earth for it to wither into dust. Now, pride swelled in my chest. My skin glowed with the effects of the mate bond, and my heart grew two times its size with the unnamed emotion encapsulating it. It wasn’t quite love—it was too soon to reach that stage just yet. It was mutual respect and understanding. It was friendship and protection. It was loyalty.Denver met my stride, maintaining his position at my flank portraying his loyalty and support. We were heading to the backyard where Alpha Percy was about to display the effect of his Ocean flakes. After that, I planned to get Orion alone to run my plan by him

MILESI had lost count of how many days I trekked the woods, tracking an unfamiliar and distinctively sweet scent until I found myself at the edge of a cliff, overlooking the angry turbulence of a thrashing grey sea. Whatever I was tracking knew how to mask their scent. They were quick, agile, and evaded getting snared in my jaws on more than one occasion. Most of all: they only traveled at night.Armed with all this knowledge, it was easy to deduce that I was hunting a vampire—or more like a coven of vampires. They toyed with me, led me on chases throughout the night until all I could hear was the heavy thud of my heart as it pushed blood through my arteries. It struck me as odd because they never attempted to kill me—they never made a move to harm me. It was a game to them.I was beginning to hate games. “At least we can now name the threat that’s been close to our borders. We should head back,” Timber’s gravely voice filled my mind. It was easier for him to push forward and shat
