The Don's Innocent Nurse のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 131 - チャプター 140

Melanie’s POV“I’m going to need a little more time to get used to that notion,” I told him.“You can take as much time as you want, little nurse,” he said, then added, “Are you going to show me the things you bought?”I smiled and shook my head. “You know I can’t do that, yet. Presents are supposed to be opened on Christmas morning so be patient.”“Patience is not my strong suit, little nurse,” he replied.“Then you’re just going to have to learn,” I said. “Now I promised, Alice I’ll help her bake Christmas cookies so put me down.”“No,” he said, burying his face in my neck and breathing in my scent. “You smell so good, Tesoro.”“Thank you, baby but I really got to go to the kitchen especially if you want to eat any of them”“Five more minutes,” he mumbled, holding tighter to me.I chuckled and snuggled into him. “Okay, baby. Just five more minutes though.”Five minutes turned into twenty more minutes because we couldn't keep our hands off each other and it turned into a full make-ou

Melanie’s POVThankfully, the rest of the day went by without more trouble from Lydia.I even got a call from Luke during my lunch break, which put me in a good mood. He told me all about school and the new friends he had made. His follow-up appointment was in a few weeks so we made a date to see each other then.I was glad he was doing so well. He was one of the first patients I had when I started at the hospital and we kind of developed a bond.People like to think that it was the doctors that had patients but they were more of ours. I was about to make the turn towards where Ralph parked when my way was suddenly cut off."Excuse me," I said, trying to maneuver around, the person but they kept blocking my way.Frustrated, I finally stopped and looked up to see who the intruder was and was surprised to find a very beautiful, blonde-haired girl staring at me.One look at her entire outfit and I could tell that she was wearing high-end designers, enough to open her own store.Still, t

Melanie’s POVIt was a long night for me. I spent it tossing and turning, thinking about what Erica wanted. Thankfully, Adriano seemed to have had a long day so he was pretty knocked out which was pretty rare for him because I knew he was a really light sleeper.I thought about telling Adriano but decided against it, at least for now. I needed to clarify a few things for myself before I resorted to dragging him into my paranoia. Besides, Christmas dinner with his family was around the corner, and if there was one thing I wouldn’t do, it was ruin a festive evening at his family’s house. Especially not when they would be meeting me for the first time. The next morning at work, I tried to focus. The sound of ambulances from afar, announcements over the sound system, the movements to and from the OR, all these did very little to ground me. In fact, it was a miracle that I didn’t input patients charts wrongly. The scent of fresh coffee in the break room didn’t help me much either but I

Melanie’s POVI was immediately immersed in the chaos of the kitchen. Aria dragged me to where she was standing with some of her cousins and I assisted them in dicing some of the vegetables. For a gathering this size I would have assumed that Adriano’s mom would opt for a catering service but she didn’t, instead she turned it into an avenue for the women to bond while the men were off doing God knows what. Before today, I was so sure that I would be glued to Adriano’s side for the duration of the dinner but now I find that it didn’t even bother me that he was nowhere in sight.“Are you sure we made enough dessert?” Camilla asked.Zoey nodded. “I hope so, my main concern is if the men are going to leave enough dessert for us women,” she said.“Uhm… I brought some cookies,” I added. “I know it’s not elaborate and there’s a chance it might not go with the plethora of food we have but I just couldn’t come empty handed.”Zoey’s eyes brightened at my words. “You did!?”I nodded.“That’s ama

Melanie’s POVWe rode home in comfortable silence. I was too full and happy from the good food and great company to say anything further.Plus, I couldn’t take my hands off the bracelet. It was just too beautiful. I’ve never owned anything as expensive as this and I was so scared to ask him how much it cost.We already exchanged gifts in the morning so I wasn’t expecting anything more from him.In a not-so-surprising turn of events, Alice was still awake by the time we got home.“For a moment I thought you both were going to spend the night there,” Alice said when we got into the living room."It's really late, Alice, and I'm sure you've had a long day. You should be sleeping," Adriano said.“I couldn’t sleep when I knew how important today was to Melanie. I was too anxious to know how it went,” she replied.“Well, you can rest easy now because it went very well,” I told her.Her face lit up with a smile and she gave me a quick hug, making me laugh.“I told you, you had nothing to wor
