All Chapters of Cursed by the Alphas: Chapter 61 - Chapter 70

Lenox pov Today is fucking magnificent. Sarah’s running around like a headless chicken, with her cute little bum moving under that dress that’s downright sinful while my brothers are busy following her commands. Which, in turn, means I’m free. So fucking free that I can do whatever the hell I want to without being watched over like some kid. Which also means I might have a demon on fireworks duty hiding behind the bushes. I stay aside, further away from the crowd, and watch the madness unfold. Just seeing how people arrive, acting like each of them is more important than the last, amuses me more than it probably should, but you won’t hear me complaining. My arms are crossed in front of my chest and one of the guests, who steps a little too close, glances at my face, flinches away and rushes to hide in the crowd. “What the fuck?” I mutter and wipe my face. Ain’t no way there’s blood there, I didn’t kill anyone yet. With a huff, I pull my phone from the pocket and open the camera

Ophelia pov It feels like ages until Alister’s arms wrap around me and hold me tightly, almost as if he’s scared to ever let go. I let my eyes close as a sigh of relief leaves me. The mate bond hasn’t settled yet, it won’t until midnight, but the pull is already there and I can honestly admit I’ve never felt anything more magical or beautiful than this. It’s almost as if there’s this invisible string connecting our hearts, pulsating between us like something alive and worth cherishing. I can only imagine how it’ll feel to be able to reach him without words, to feel what he feels and if I’m lucky, to hear his thoughts.“Alister,” I breathe out his name and for once, my voice doesn’t carry the usual anger or annoyance. “Yeah?” He mutters, sounding almost as if he’s forcing the simple word and it actually costs him a part of his soul. I’m not sure if I have it in me to look at him. What if now that he’s come clean with me, he suddenly changed his mind? What if by holding me, even o

Than pov As the appointed guard of this ceremony I know everything. For example, Seth looks absolutely gorgeous in the dress she’s wearing and she smiled precisely three hundred twenty-two, okay now, three hundred twenty-three times. And, exactly two hundred nineteen of those smiles have been polite and forced. I counted. The atmosphere is rather pleasant and easy, or at least it seems to be at first glance. My biggest problem is that it reeks of snakes and when a place starts developing that specific, bitter scent of scales, it means trouble. “Honey, you seem tense,” Seth says as she suddenly appears at my side, sipping her champagne. I smile and offer her my arm, which she accepts as always, and lean closer to mutter, “something’s off. I wouldn’t say dangerous, but simply off. I have a reason to believe that someone who doesn’t belong decided to crash the party.”“Oh, thank fuck you’re not talking about Lenox,” Seth mutters and releases a breath. Awesome, of course, just great

Alister povThe moment Ophelia tells me that she just gave me her first kiss, my entire body freezes up. I expected many things, but being her first, and fuck how I hope the last, literally fucks with my head. I’m not one for old traditions, but the very fact that my mate has been waiting for me all these years is making me feel like I’m being ripped to pieces by happiness I didn’t know could exist. My arms tighten around her as I don’t think about anything but how her scent is overwhelming my senses and how I want nothing but to claim her so everyone would know she’s mine and mine alone. Once our lips meet again, sparks fly and my breath catches in my throat. I never dared to dream that this day would come, even when I first realized Ophelia’s my mate, I didn’t think she’d ever accept me. For years, I’ve forced myself to learn how to hate her in preparation for rejection. But now that I know I’ve been nothing but a blind, arrogant fool, I finally realize how wrong I was. Slowly,

Ophelia povIn the weird madness that has taken over the celebration, the only thing I can focus on is Alister’s grip on me. I’d never even dare to assume that it would be the only thing holding me upright and still present in reality, but here we are. As if the stress already wasn’t enough, now I’m supposed to come to terms with having not one but two mates? What are the odds? Don’t get me wrong, I knew it was possible - I mean, look at my grandmother and my mother, both of them have multiple partners, but me? I never thought this could ever happen to me.“Alister,” I mutter the moment I find my voice, even if it sounds weak and wrong. “Am I hearing things? Please tell me I’m hearing things.” “If you’re hearing things, you’re not the only one,” he answers quietly, sounding just as shocked as I feel.“What now?” I ask and grip his arm a little tighter. “I don’t want to be mated to some stranger, especially someone who crawled out of the underworld.” I admit. Alister turns slowly a
