All Chapters of Obsessing Over My Ex-Wife: Chapter 11 - Chapter 20

Brian’s POVMy hand curled tighter, to the point that I could feel my nails digging into my palm.My breathing became faster. Before I could stop myself, I reached for the remote and turned off the Television. Everyone turned to me, but no one dared to question my decision.I walked out of the living room furiously; the hunger from earlier had died now, leaving me with nothing but anger. I could literally feel the heat in my head.As I made my way back to my room, I took out my phone, furiously searching my contacts till my eyes landed on August’s contact card.My thumb pressed against the call button. After about three rings, the line connected. “Mr Whitmore.” He called.I didn’t bother with the formalities, just went straight to the point.“I need you to take down the rumors about me spreading around the internet. And do it quickly.”“Yes, sir!”I spent the next few minutes pacing and trying to think of who could be behind this. The door of my room fell open, and Sophia stepped in.

Jolene’s POVThe change in my expression was subtle, but he caught it anyway.“I’m sorry for bringing him up,” He added quickly. I shook my head. “It’s fine.”There was a bit of silence as I turned to the mirror. “This looks really nice, better than anything I could have picked.” I said the moment I saw my reflection in the mirror. “I specialise in perfection.” He adjusted his shirt proudly.I giggled. “With the way you are dressed, no one will believe that you were ever married.” He teased, causing me to burst into another round of laughter. “You really know how to handle women, yet you don’t have a girlfriend. Or is there someone I don’t know about?”I watched his smile disappear for a second or two, before he masked it all up with a wider smile. “There is no one. I don’t even have time for love in the first place.” He said, already standing from the couch he was sitting on. “I’ll leave you to finish up.” “And please don’t take too long.” He pleaded, his hands clasped in fro

Jolene’s POVHis words made me stiffen for a moment. And for the next few seconds, I couldn’t stop myself from replaying them in my head. I didn’t turn to look at him, I couldn’t let him see the shock on my face. His warmth still lingered beside me, but I didn’t bother to give it any attention. Moments passed, I still didn’t give any reply. Instead of a reply making it’s way out of my mouth, I leaned in, towards Isaac who was basically sitting in the middle of me and Vincent. A voice in my mind told me that Isaac’s being here was not a coincedence, and that his seat being in between mine and Vincent’s was no coincedence either, but I ignored it. Anyways, now that he is here, why not use his presence to my advantage? The moment my head touched his shoulder, I could feel him stiffen underneath me. “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have…” He stopped me right there. “It’s fine.” He said, this time, he gently laid my head on his shoulder, relaxing himself in the chair as a sign to show me tha

Jolene’s POVFor a few seconds, he didn't say anything. He simply stared at me.His fingers tightened around the bottle of water he was holding, and I could see the nervousness rising on his face.“Come on, spill. I don’t have all the time in the world to spend on a silly meeting.” I said, my voice calm. He swallowed hard.“I... I didn't do all of this because I wanted to.”I raised a brow.“Then why did you?”He looked around the coffee shop as if he was afraid someone might be listening.“Mr. Anderson,” I called, getting his attention again. “You have about five seconds before I decide that this meeting is a complete waste of my time.”His eyes widened.“No, please.”He leaned forward slightly.“I was desperate.”I crossed my arms over my chest. “Desperate enough to threaten me?”“I didn't threaten you.” He interrupted, panic in his voice. “Then what do you call sending me a picture of myself in a hospital with a message telling me that you know something I don't want the world to

Jolene’s POV“My world stopped revolving around you a long time ago.”I watched the words sink into him.Something about his expression changed, but I didn't wait around to find out what it was. I had better things to do with my time.I turned around.“Let's go.”Vincent nodded and followed me, so did the two guards that had come with us. I could feel Brian's eyes on my back, but I didn't turn around.I wasn't going to give him another reason to believe that everything I did had something to do with him.The moment we got into the car, however, I couldn't hold it in anymore.I looked at Vincent. He looked at me.And then we both burst into laughter.I covered my mouth, trying to control myself.“Oh my goodness,” I managed to say in between laughs.Vincent shook his head, laughing just as hard.“Did you see the look on his face?”I nodded.“He really thought you bought those shares to get his attention.”I laughed again.Vincent leaned back against his seat, shaking his head.“I think
