Gwen fumbled around inside, coming up with nothing. Truly, all that lay inside was empty space. Gwen stood bewildered, finding absolutely nothing there. She turned her eyes toward Jeff.'Is he hallucinating? Jeff locking a wardrobe that's completely empty? What on earth is the meaning of this?'Gwen stared blankly at the wardrobe in deep thought. Then, her brows furrowed. There was a subtle seam faintly visible in the wood of the wardrobe. Gwen touched it and tapped it lightly.'Is there another compartment behind this wardrobe wall? Just like in the movies?' Gwen wondered in silent curiosity.Gwen tried pressing against the seam, hoping it might give way and open. Yet the wooden wall of the wardrobe remained steadfastly immovable. Annoyed, she finally shut the wardrobe door once more, carefully slipping the keys back into the pocket of Jeff's pajamas. All night long, Gwen was consumed by curiosity as to why Jeff would lock an empty wardrobe so tightly. It truly nagged at her mind, le

Gwen spent all night tossing and turning, dwelling on the empty wardrobe. It made no sense for a wardrobe to be locked so securely if there was truly nothing inside; there had to be something more. Could there be another room hidden behind a partition in the wooden wall? That night, suspended between sleep and wakefulness, or perhaps caught in a dream, she saw Jeff open the empty wardrobe and step inside. He had literally walked right in and didn't come back out for a long time.Yet Gwen chose to drift back into sleep, brushing it off as nothing more than a hallucination. The next day, after Jeff left for work, the memory of her dream came rushing back."Was that a dream last night, or did it really happen? Jeff stepped into the wardrobe and closed it from the inside?" Gwen muttered under her breath.Driven by curiosity, Gwen used a piece of wire to pick the lock once more, and just like before, it worked.Gwen ran her hands across every inch of the inner walls; nothing shifted. Hans couldn't sleep until late into the night. He kept staring at the television Gwen had bought. In the past, Gwen would nag endlessly, complaining about not having a TV. She had wanted entertainment. Now, Gwen herself had bought that TV for him.It wasn't until near dawn that Hans finally managed to drift off, and even then, the TV was still left running.Abigail and James were staying overnight at Hannah's house and planned to return home the following day. When the call to dawn prayer resounded, a drowsy Hans was forced to wake up to perform his duty.Sienna was in the bathroom, the sound of splashing water echoing as she performed her ablutions. Once again, Hans was reminded of Gwen, who was always so hard to wake up when dawn arrived.Hans recalled the night before the accident when he made love to his wife, and he was absolutely certain that the woman with him then was the real Gwen. He knew her body scent all too well.Gwen had been clingy, passionate, and reluctant to pray. T

Later that evening, the landlord appeared at Hans's house. Someone had already purchased the property in cash and even provided extra funds to transfer the title deed directly into Hans's name."Regarding the title deed transfer for this house, I'll handle everything. You won't have to lift a finger," said Gideon, the landlord."I'm sorry, Mr. Gideon, but I need to know, who bought this house?" Hans asked."I'm sorry, Hans. I'm not allowed to disclose who the buyer is. I was strictly instructed not to say a word," Gideon replied. "Besides, I really was planning to sell this place anyway, and that person knew I was looking to sell because I desperately needed the cash, Hans."Hans didn't push any further. Yet he was absolutely certain that Gwen was the one who had bought the house he was living in.'Gwen, you really have so much money now.' Hans thought to himself once again.*Gwen herself felt immense satisfaction, now that she had been able to repair and purchase the house for hersel

Ryan sat down next to Gerald."Careful not to get caught by Trina. You'll be in big trouble if she finds out you're dating her mother," Gerald laughed, shaking his head."What about you? What have you managed to get out of Trina?" Ryan asked."I don't need Trina's money—my dad has plenty of cash. I was only after her body. But no rush, really. There's no need to hurry when Trina is already head over heels for me!" Gerald boasted, laughing loudly. If only Trina and Susan knew that they were nothing more than playthings being used by these young men. Yet Susan and Trina had been blinded by fleeting pleasures. Neither realized that the young men cozying up to them held no genuine intentions. They were merely exploiting the desperate infatuation of the two women in Jeff's family.--Trina asked for permission to go out on Saturday night with Gerald. Sarah, delighted that her daughter was now dating the son of a Member of Federal Parliament, felt thrilled and readily gave her blessing.Gwen
