"We are enemies." "That doesn't stop me from possessing you." He breathed and every word he whispered later on sent chills down my spine, "You are mine, Amara. From the pale blonde strands of your hair to your faded nail-polished toes. Every breath you take is mine. Not excluding the freckles dusting your cheeks to the pimples on your face. Your misery is mine, which I shall bring upon you myself. From your giggles to your random nonsensical chatter, I own them! Your darn strawberry moments are mine. Every drop of blood that flows through your veins belongs to me and so does your last breath when I snuff life out of you, watching as your pretty green eyes lose their shine and your heartbeat goes dull beneath my palm." His hand traveled to my neck, fingers lacing around it, and he squeezed a bit, "Who do you belong to?" He asked capturing my ear lobe between his lips and I shivered. "Myself and you can't have me!" I swung my head back and crashed it against his, sending him reeling backward. **************** You have got to let your loved ones know what's happening with you' Amara snow Dardanos learns this the hard way when her perfect world is crushed by a secret she kept away from her family. Orian Wolfe Akanther, one of the leaders of the underworld is given the task of taking the werewolf princess as vengeance for the injustice and treachery done to his kind. The plan was simple, to take her, watch her family and kind crumble beneath his finger tips and then kill her but that plan seems to foil when his nonexistent heart leans towards her and he is at the risk of breaking a blood oath.

I am liking the story and definitely hooked. My personal opinion, I wish Amara wasn't so naive after what happened to her when she was younger. However, as Amara's story develops the personality type seems to make sense. I look forward to reading more chapters and watching for those updates.

Prologue
Amara's pov "Once upon a land under the deity of the moon goddess where men were wolves and wolves were men..." "But they still are..." Iris groaned as always, staring at me with her eyes twinkling with mischief. I smirked and brandished my makeshift wooden sword before her making her squeal with pretend fright, "I surrender! I surrender!" She cried out with her arms raised in the air earning a smirk from me. "There lived three most powerful wolves in the supernatural world, they were called the potens lupi!" I continued, emphasizing my last words, "Two were born brought to the world at first, their fates tied together, the grey wolf and the red wolf, one born with a heart of gold, the other was the spawn of the devil! A bitch from the pits of hell!" I growled remembering how she had ruined my childhood. "Bad words Amara, mummy said no bad words," Eros said looking up from his entwined fingers which he had been twisting, an attitude long developed. "Fine." I rolled my eyes and si

Amara's pov A full moon rose above the pitch-black clouds illuminating the skies and casting its light against the darkness just as it reflected on Cora's fur.The wind blew softly against her caressing her fur as well as causing the tree branches to rustle which was the only sound that could be heard as it blew through the forest. We were being followed. I could feel it. My statement wasn't a result of paranoia or anything. It was a fact, one which I have known ever since my sixteenth birthday and for five years now he followed me. I knew. I had kept it a secret.I'd always wonder if he was who I thought he was, a vampire for sure, the blood gave him away. But was he actually who I thought he was? Was he Ares? He always left clues that he was watching me and my every move.I had always searched hoping to catch a glimpse of hair as blonde as mine or something else that I noticed a long time ago which would convince me that it was him but I had nothing.I was pulled f

Amara's povLoud angry growls filled our ears and then snarls, Cora turned up her snout picking up the scent and at that instant, I felt her worry, Rogues Amara! Feral rogues! She cried out before turning to sprint off but she was trapped and caved in as a bunch of them jumped from the thickets, surrounding her, sizing her up with their angry snarls filling the air.Cora count! I ordered and she squinted trying to make out their forms, there was the bigger one who was the leader, and then there were five others making them six in total. They enclosed her forming a circle. Their foul scent was strong and repulsing as their growls were irritating."If it isn't the poor princess, all by herself right where she shouldn't be." Their leader spoke immediately, his reddish eyes glinting mischievously, "How do you feel about this situation your highness? Scared?!""The word should be irritated mutt!" She snarled at him digging her extracted claws in the ground, the need to protect and defend r

Amara's pov I could feel my guts tighten as I stood rooted to my spot. The sound of the sword swishing through the air came first and a strangled cry like that of a wounded beast was the last thing I heard before being splattered with his blood. My hands laid limp by my sides. My senses numbing as I stared down at myself. My pink leotard was marred crimson by the abominable liquid, my exposed arms and legs all covered in blood and suddenly the ache I felt in my neck from being strangled earlier was forgotten. I was somewhat glad that I hadn't worn my favorite red leotard, I couldn't imagine it being soaked in blood. My gaze traveled to the stiff remains of the creature. Its red wings were faltered and dull, and my heart ached as red was my favorite color. Blood pooled from the headless body staining the white tiling of the balcony and the evening sun rays had chosen that time to cast its light on the dead. Its head had rolled a few paces away from it. Its dark eyes, darker

Amara's pov"Mum." I cried as she rushed into the room with her eyes frantically searching my frame for any injuries.I leapt from the bed as she walked towards me, her arms engulfing me, pressing me onto herself while she rubbed my hair whispering soothing words to me."Hello, Luna." Rose bowed. She gave rose a small smile before muttering a thank you. My best friend returned it and lightly tapped my shoulders for reassurance before leaving the room to give my mother and I privacy."Come." She led me to the bathroom. She opened the door and took me into it. She ran the bath while I discarded the jacket and my ruined leotard.I hopped in once she was done and relaxed into the mass of scented flowery foams and bubbles. The warm water calmed my nerves and I closed my eyes soaking in the feel, "Is dad here too?""I told him to stay back." She took my head and worked on losing my chignon, "Eros needs him there, yunno.""I didn't want any of you to leave him and come." I said sadly popping

Amara's pov"Don't pop it!" Rose swatted my hands which I had placed before me. My phone which I held for reflection purposes fell to my lap but the other hand still somewhat hovered before my face, my fingers etched to carry out my original intent.I ignored her words and pulled my fingers closer to my face lightly grazing the swollen whitish-headed bump, "Don't!" She hit my hand and I gave up this time with a sigh escaping my lips and my hand joining the other on my lap."They shouldn't be popped, Amara." She leaned back against the car seat, "They will leave scars on your face, and you know, multiply." She said her last statement gesturing at her face trying to make me see her scars and more Zits popping up.But that didn't matter to me, I had them too. Despite the general knowledge that bursting them is bad, I still couldn't resist the urge to pop a ripe-headed zit on my face, and ugh! The satisfaction that came with it was terrific. I gave her a slight pinch on the arm befor

Amara's povWhat would it feel like if I was to fall? I questioned myself as I tried getting out with my tongue, the piece of meat which was stuck between my teeth, It is a tough fight.I was seated on the balcony railing. My stocking-clad aching legs dangling in mid-air with just my rump on the banister acting as my only support and yet again the thought of what would happen if I was to fall crossed my mind.It was very likely for me to seek out fresh air and calming scenes after my dance lessons but very unlikely for me to seek that out in a dangerous way such as sitting on the handrail of a balcony.I looked down at the streets, peering at the people as they went about their evening activities with nary a care in the world which got me to wonder if they would care.Would they care if they were to look up and caught sight of me? A young blonde princess in her favorite red leotard who just finished her self-dance rehearsals and was currently sitting where she shouldn't. Would they th

Amara's Pov"No one wears a rose in their hair to a club!" My best friend stepped away from me with her face morphed into a frown and her hands crossed over her chest."What can I say? I am a trendsetter." I stood from the dresser's seat and placed myself before the mirror to admire my outfit. My hair was worn down as per Rose's preference and I still had my signature red rose stuck in my locs. My face wasn't made up just like that of my best friend as trying to spread the foundation on a face with acne didn't go well all the time. So we settled for smoky-lined eyes, mascara and matching red lipstick. On my neck were my usual neck pieces which were a locket that had my parents, eros, and I's picture in it, the customized necklace from Liam, and the half heart necklaces that Rose and I shared.I had on a red dress. It was a body con dress that gave a little bit of cleavage and stopped mid-thigh where my black net stockings began. The dress clunge to every bit of me and I st

Amara's pov I had broken a lot of rules. A lot of them were broken while growing up, Amara, don't step out of the castle without your guard, I broke this rule the week Liam was employed.Amara, always let us know what's happening with you, I broke this rule on my sixteenth birthday.Amara don't read up about vamps, I broke this when I was tall and strong enough to climb library ladders.Amara don't cross the borders, It was a known fact that this might have been the first rule I had ever broken.Amara think before acting, This was a rule I have never thought of acting on in my life and it might evolve into a flaw. Amongst every trait I picked from my mother's younger self, this was one of them.Amara don't wander off when in a strange place, A new rule which was issued while I left for New York and which I broke tonight.Amara, do not talk to strangers! This rule was annoying, not every stranger was bad.Amara don't get yourself into sticky situations, Rose and Co

Amara's povIt was already known that I was never one to follow instructions and following instructions wasn't something I was going to start overnight by listening to a 'stop.following.me.' from a certain charming and grumpy stranger. Now, can we find our way back and forget about him? Cora had said immediately he went off but I did the opposite as expected.I had broken off the damaged heels from my shoes, wore them as flats, wiped my hands across my face, and sped after him but not before checking to see if the hooker was still alive and thankfully she was. She even got on her feet and said nothing to me before walking off being happy with her pay.It is not too late to turn back! Cora repeated and I rolled my eyes.Do you not at least find him half as interesting as I do? I grunted at her and she stomped in my head, "Oww!"I do not! She stomped harder and I blocked her out. My gaze shifted back to Mr grump who wasn't surprised that I had caught up with him. H
