The Billionaire's Secretive Bride

The party was bustling with people, in elegant dresses and mask. Crystal walked in with her family right beside her. She is dressed in a red dress and a silver mask to compliment her dress.

She stood behind her family as her sister stopped and turned to her, “You are just here to figure out something that can help the family and not to have fun. I hope you don’t get too carried away.” Lily her sister warned her seriously , then she scoffed and pushed Crystal aside before working into the crowd.

Just as Crystal was about to stabilize herself, her dad and mom stood next to her, side by side, “Do not get close to anybody. Your fiance won’t be happy so try not to bring any form of disgrace to the family.” He warned her again as Crystal nodded and didn’t say a word, her mom glared at her as she walking away.

Seeing that they’ve left, Crystal sighed heavily and took a wine from the waiters that passed, “They should have just let me stay home like they always do. Now I have missed a big game.” She chugged down the drink and handed the glass back to a waiter that just passed.

She looked around the room as if looking for someone in particular… When she located her target , her lips curled up in a smile. She took out a piece of paper which she had prepared earlier and handled it to a waiter that passed. She gave a few instructions and tips to the waiter who nodded and walked over.

Crystal still looked at her target without taking her eyes off, she watched the whole process of the waiter giving it to him, and him receiving it and opening the piece of paper.

But before she could meet his eyes, an unwanted person blocked her view.

Crystal, slowly looked up at the person that blocked her view and the faint smile that was on her face was nowhere to be found again, "Weren't you supposed to come up to me as soon as you arrived here?" The so-called fiancee of hers walked over as Crystal sighed.

"Can you at least move out of my way... You are blocking my view." She glared at him and tried to look over his shoulder but he blocked her yet again.

She looked at the annoying face and sighed deeply, "What do you want?" She asked Michael, who moved closer to her as she took a step back.

"What's the problem with wanting to stay with my fiancee." Michael stated as Crystal rolled her eyes.

"I don't have time for this." She walked away impatiently towards a dark corner, hoping to be able to get a better glimpse of the person that she wants to see.

She turned to see that the god forsaken fiancee has still followed her to the dark area, He gripped her hand tightly this time as he looked at her intensely, "You brought me here for a reason right?" Michael asked her.

"Are you crazy?!" She struggled to free herself but he only closed in on her.

"Yes, I am crazy and I want to do crazy things to you! You are my fiancee and you can't stop me!" He leaned closer to her.

Crystal leaned back almost about to throw up with how disgusting staying close to him even felt. 

She raised her leg to at least kick his penis, but someone dragged him by the collar and pushed him to the side. She looked up as the person that came to help her.

“Isn’t it obvious that the lady doesn’t want to have anything to do with you at the moment.”The man glanced at Michael who was struggling to stand up while still glaring at him.

Crystal smiled brightly at the Man totally ignoring Michael that was on the floor, “You came.”

“You made an interesting statement with your letter, of course I had to come, I don’t think I should introduce myself since you seem to know me quite well.” His eyes slowly scrutinized her as Crystal still smiled at him.

“How can you be talking to him instead of helping your fiancee up.” Micheal interrupted them as Crystal glanced at him nonchalantly, “Sorry, Can we go somewhere quiet to talk.” She turned to the man who nodded.

They both walked out of the party without anyone really noticing their absence.

They walked through the garden in silence, as the cold air blew against Crystal’s skin, she unconsciously wrapped her arms around herself. But then a thick jacket and a pleasant muscular scent wrapped around her. She looked up to see him standing behind her, “Thank you.” She mumbled.

“I know we are not here to just stroll, So can you explain what you meant by what you wrote in this paper.” He showed the paper that she had passed to him earlier.

“My name is Crystal. Forget my surname, I will rather not be called by that name.. And what I wrote in that paper is self explanatory. Mr.Logan, I want to Marry you.!” She dropped the bombshell at him.

Logan still looked at him with no change in his facial expression, “I understand that part, The part I want to talk about is this part of saving my life”

He showed her the paper that wrote, “Marry me and I will save your life.”

“About that, i will save your life just as it is written there. But that is only if you agree to marry me.” She repeated but Logan Gunner was not having any of it.

“And why should I believe you? Protect me? I have enough guards that can ensure that I am safe, do you think adding you to them will make any difference.” He asked her seemly bored by her answer.

“But can they save you from the constant risk that your life is on. A dark cloud is hovering above you, maybe this time there might be a car accident.”

“To me, it just sounds like you are plotting against me.”  He crossed his hand and looked at her directly.

“It doesn’t matter if you believe me. But you are my lifeline,I’m not sure how it is going to happen, but I hope you don’t die. See you soon.” She smiled slightly at him and walked back to the party.

As soon as she returned, Her family and Fiancee that seemed to be looking for her gathered around her, “Today is going to be a long night.” She sighed and listened to their nagging and insults like it is her daily bread
