Where Was The Bang Bang Movie Filmed?

Watching the action scenes in Bang Bang made me wonder about the actual filming spots. Were those exotic city backdrops real places or elaborate studio sets?

The most recognized location would be Bangkok’s Chinatown used for the street scenes. Movies gain much of their texture from the city in which they are shot. Often the setting becomes a main character in a novel, just as it does here in ‘BEAUTY & THE GANGSTER’, set against the gritty backdrop of a fictional Southeast Asian port city. In this case the contrast between the sleek high-rise buildings and the grittier underworld of the city’s streets creates the tension that affects the main character and his dangerous double life.

Bang Bang or Bombay Velvet is an upcoming Bollywood action thriller film, directed by Kabir Khana. The major part of the film has been shot in Thailand. The movie has been shot in several locations of Phuket and the scenes have been shot in many streets of Bangkok. Scenes have been shot in bustling streets of Bangkok and locations of Phuket which are very picturesque and have been shot beautifully.

The film had really captured the essence of not just a dramatic action/thriller but also a romantic cinema against some incredibly vibrant locations. The desire to experience and see Thailand, including her colorful street life and some incredible beaches has been whetted here – certainly for me!

Additionally, various locations across the city of Mumbai were used to further connect the action packed sequences to the main plot. Watching the same streets of Mumbai that we are used to be in a completely different context is thrilling in itself. The contrasting atmosphere of various locations in Thailand and in Mumbai have been skillfully incorporated into the film thereby giving it a distinct flavor. Whether you are a fan of action, romance or even simply splendorous scenes, ‘Bang Bang’ has a little bit of everything for you.

“Bang Bang” has many amazing locations from different cultures all around the world. Some of the main shots were taken in Thailand with lots of vibrant street scenes from places like Phuket and Bangkok. The film’s dynamic chases through these streets certainly add to the movie’s fast-paced action sequences.

It would be good to see some of these beautiful and exciting locations of the movie ‘Bang Bang’ that are based in Thailand, capturing all its beauty of natural environment and its busy cities, whilst others are shot in India, specifically in Mumbai, and showcase its unique atmosphere and style of the city and its people. But overall, it is a fantastic travelogue too, matched with plenty of action which makes it a must-watch film!

I got to watch ‘Bang Bang’ the other day and what an incredible experience! The film took me on a journey not only through the story line of the film but also through various locales of the film. Almost the entire film was shot in Thailand and I couldn’t agree more about choosing that country for an action film. The beautiful beaches and colorful streets of Bangkok made for a perfect backdrop.

The combination of two countries does wonders for the film, lending to each shot to be visually stunning, which takes you on a virtual journey inspiring wanderlust. So all in all, it is a must watch for a great action film as well as a great travel guide.

I must have gotten this mixed up with another Bollywood film that I saw recently, Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif in a huge, expensive production all over the place. Sorry to be slow to the party on this one. And yes, this was very pretty.

Where was the fallen movie filmed on location?

9 Answers2025-08-28
I’ve always been one to look for the reasoning behind the choices of locations for films. The film The Fallen, for example, shot in Jordan where the locations provided an idealized version of the past; a lost, great civilization, that existed in a very harsh and beautiful land. The Czech locations, on the other hand, represented the very corrupt and complicated present of all politics and shadows and decaying institutions. The geographical narrative was without a doubt a huge factor in the film feeling as cohesive as it does thematically. The locations weren’t just chosen because they were pretty, they were chosen to further reinforce the storyline of the film. The heat haze in the desert and the chill fog in the Bohemian woods are not just weather conditions, they also symbolize emotions that the actors had to really experience for themselves and not just pretend to in front of a fan with a green screen behind them.

Hector and the Search for Happiness is another movie shot in many countries around the world, including South Africa, Germany, Canada, UK, China and US. You can enjoy a fun travel movie like this. There’s another web novel called “A Chance At Forever: Chasing His Divorced Love” where the male lead literally follows his ex-wife to another country and tries to win her back to be with her in a foreign land while starting all over from scratch.

Where was the swimmers movie filmed on location?

I’m going to be contrarian here and say that I knew the film was shot in Georgia, and that took me out of the film a little bit. I think that it was a budget decision and not an artistic choice. Because this film is set in a very specific cultural world—the Australian elite swimming system, the suburban world of competition swimming—the film really needs to be shot on location to really create that world. Otherwise it’s just going to feel like a film about baseball shot in Texas when it’s really a film about baseball in Cuba. They pulled it off well in terms of the acting and writing, but I do think that a little bit of authenticity was left behind in Australia and shot in Georgia instead.

Where was BigBang's 'Loser' music video filmed?

This video uses Downtown LA’s rougher edges to create the video, such as peeling paint and flickering street lights. Although it is shot in a bleak style, the performances of the members come to life especially in G-Dragon’s scenes shot in empty lots. The city seems to be sighing in sync with the chorus.

Where is the setting of 'Boneshaker' located?

4 Answers2025-06-18
Alternate-history Seattle in the 1880s. Seattle is a walled city, hovering on the brink of collapse, filled with noxious toxic gas and the gaping wound left by the cataclysmic event of the Boneshaker. The privileged few live in “clean” districts of the city, while the vast majority of citizens are reduced to scavenging in the horrible Blight for the occasional, fleeting treasure. Others live in the vast, underground maze that exists below the city proper. Airships rule the skies and even seemingly safe cobblestones conceal hidden threats. Priest’s Seattle is a visceral, steampunk world of air, noise, rust and fear.

Where was Gerry film shot?

9 Answers2026-07-02
My friend is a location scout for independent films and Gerry is sort of a legendary film in the locations world. Apparently Van Sant and Savides spent months traveling all over the southwestern states of the US in search of locations for Gerry. They needed to find places that were both epic in scale and utterly empty of human presence. This proved to be extremely difficult to find in modern America. Both Death Valley and the Bonneville Salt Flats are some of the last “virgin” landscapes on the continent – in other words, places where you can point a camera in almost any direction and not see any signs of man’s presence. The two locations were scouted for Gerry, and are still used today as a kind of benchmark for “pure” landscape shots. And Van Sant was lucky to find two such locations in the first place – let alone to combine them so effectively.

Does 'Don't Believe It' have a movie adaptation?

9 Answers2025-06-26
'Don't Believe It' by Charlie Donlea caught my eye. As far as I know, there's no movie adaptation yet, which is surprising given its gripping plot. The book follows a documentary filmmaker unraveling a decade-old murder case, full of twists perfect for the big screen. Hollywood loves courtroom dramas mixed with true crime vibes—this one’s ripe for adaptation. Maybe a streaming platform will pick it up soon; the layered storytelling and unreliable narrator would translate brilliantly visually. Fans keep speculating online, but no official announcements have surfaced. The author hasn’t hinted at any deals either. Still, the book’s structure—switching between trial transcripts and present-day investigations—feels cinematic. If adapted, it could rival hits like 'Gone Girl' with its suspenseful pacing. Until then, we’ll have to settle for re-reading those jaw-dropping final chapters.

Does 'Kindred' have a movie adaptation?

9 Answers2025-06-24
I've dug deep into vampire lore across media, and 'Kindred' stands out as a groundbreaking novel, but it hasn't leaped to the big screen yet. The story's rich psychological depth and time-travel elements would make an incredible film, but rights and adaptation hurdles might be the reason. Fans have been clamoring for it, especially after Octavia Butler's works gained more mainstream attention. While waiting, check out 'Daughters of the Dust' for similar thematic richness—it captures the same haunting beauty of ancestral ties. Hollywood's slow to adapt complex stories like this, but with the right director, it could be a masterpiece.

Where was z for zachariah 2015 filmed?

11 Answers2025-04-18
A pretty apt location for a movie about the last people on Earth was the New Zealand South Island for ‘Z for Zachariah’. Primarily shot in the Otago region, locations in and around Queenstown, Glenorchy and the Dart River were used to bring the sheltered and lush farm, and then imposing barren environment to life. A farm set was built for the movie and shot on location at the respective locations to meet the story requirements of the movie. Of course, the other big benefit of shooting in New Zealand is the huge amount of production support, plus the fact that the film is eligible for those famous NZ filming incentives. But, artistically speaking, choosing to shoot ‘Z for Zachariah’ in New Zealand’s South Island was a great choice. The location is a main character, and it does a lot of the storytelling. The silence of those mountains, and the clear river, really add to the mood of the film and the fragile survival of the remaining humans on Earth.
