Secret Class Uncensored

Most series lay out the premise for the reader's benefit. Secret Class launches into the first chapters as a wild rush to set up the ‘why’ for these stories so that we can move on to the ‘what’ (which is to be revealed in subsequent chapters, we suppose). The ‘why’ here is flimsy to say the least, but that’s not really the point of all this – the fig leaf is there and we’re good to move on. The rest of the volume is just a string of episodic encounters, but the characters look nice and the art is very polished. For readers who don’t get excited by the art or the core concept of the series, there’s nothing to win them over in the writing. It’s a series that clearly knows its audience.

There are so many places to read series like these that can get taken down or removed at a moment’s notice, though. The sites that host fan translations get DMCA’ed constantly. Following specific scanlation groups on Discord or their private forums for a series is usually the best bet. You can often get links to where to read the most current chapter in a channel when it comes out. It may require a bit more effort to just bookmark a site to read than to follow a link, but this is how the community reads. It’s best not to rely on a single public aggregator for a long period of time. They tend to be the first to get taken down.

Man, searching for scanlations in specific languages is such a hassle. I was trying to find Portuguese translations of this webtoon and it was like searching for a code. For Indonesian I found this on Pinterest where people made boards with direct links to the entire chapter. It’s kinda messy since you have to click on each pin to read it but it’s ad-free. Sometimes people also host the image sets on their Tumblr blogs but that’s getting less common since a lot of sites get nuked. The way people provide us with access to scanlations in these social media sites is kinda rough but it exists. It’s like a black market for comics.

The plot twist at the end of this book was manipulative for cheap emotional feelings. After having read chapters of sweet advance to twoleads’ feelings to each other the twist ripped the foundation out from under you creating instant drama. It was a very soap-opera like move and the change in feelings and actions from the two leads’ afterwards were NOT believable.

It was also really inconsistent with their earlier actions though. The protagonist was perfectly right to be angry, but after that he wavered between being angry and wanting to be with her in a really unconvincing way. The teacher felt awful for having done his job, which seemed completely out of proportion to his actions given the context of the story. The subsequent rows, tears and near-reconciliations all felt really melodramatic and became repetitive and tiresome. It would have been better to have handled the situation with more realism or a complete break rather than trying to keep the romantic tension alive while wallowing in the angst of the betrayal.

The ending of 'Secret Class' wraps up with the protagonist finally confronting the emotional chaos he’s been navigating throughout the series. After countless steamy encounters and tangled relationships, he makes a decisive choice about who he truly wants to be with. The final chapters reveal a matured version of him, no longer just driven by lust but by genuine connections. The women in his life also get their resolutions—some move on, others find happiness in unexpected places. The author leaves a few threads open-ended, teasing potential spin-offs, but the core story concludes with a satisfying sense of closure. If you enjoyed the series, try 'Queen Bee' for another dose of dramatic, adult-themed storytelling with complex character arcs.

Power dynamics are also expressed in the interaction between Mi-young and Dae-ho. At first Mi-young has all the power because of her age, her role as guardian and teacher. However, as the story progresses power is transferred to Dae-ho, as he grows in self-assurance and is provided with alternative options by other girls. Mi-young is now consumed by jealousy and uncertainty. Inversely, Sua, who seems to have no power at all, exerts great emotional power over Dae-ho due to their shared past. In this way, a seemingly one-sided scenario is in reality highly complex due to the various interactions of the characters and their influence upon each other.

I really hope not. I got to enjoy the drama and all the "education" behind the story just like every other reader, but like I said before, the story has reached its end. You don't have to create a franchise with every successful series. That author should use his or her talent for art and storytelling for a new, completely different series with brand new characters. Rehashing the same dynamics of previous characters would get stale very fast. The initial premise of the series was very charming and had a lot of potential in how far it could be stretched. But in the end, there's only so far you can go before you start crossing lines that you don't want to cross. And once you've crossed those lines, where do you go from there? More secrets? More characters? It'd just be another way for the author to try to make some more cash off of the series. And I'm pretty sure most fans would be able to tell when they're being ripped off. Just let it be a very memorable, very controversial, but complete work.

Novels sometimes are bought by platforms like WebNovel or Manta and re-published with volume numbers. Because the chapters are re-arranged, the original chapters are renumbered. So something like “Chapter 1” on a platform could be published as “Episode 1: Part 1 & 2” on a reading app and this can then cause the published work to appear to have a greater number of chapters than it actually does.

A high chapter count on one platform but not another could simply be a result of how the content is packaged on that platform. Look for a note from the publisher in the publisher’s notes or FAQ about chapter numbering. Many platforms clearly explain their system for chapter numbering.

This question is somehow related to my anime club days in college. So, an “uncensored version” of this would probably just be the entire thing without all of the steam or lightly placed beam shots that were censored in the normal TV version of this. This has been released in an uncensored form on some of the uncensored Blu-rays for this series that have been released in Japan, and it is available on streaming in the uncensored form on a few different streaming services, such as HiDive. From what I understand, though, HiDive’s selection of anime changes somewhat from time to time, so this series may not be available on HiDive forever. Anyway, the uncensored version of this is somewhat different from the censored version. First of all, there is more fan service in the uncensored version. But also, some of the magic circles and some of the other visual effects are more detailed. As for the overall experience of watching this in uncensored form, the best way to put it would be to say that this series is a show that is ABOUT its premise. And so, watching it in uncensored form really feels like you are experiencing the show as it was MEANT to be experienced – that is, in a somewhat chaotic, unconventional, and slightly bizarre form. (Diablo’s inner monologues, for example, are awkward enough on their own, but they are also awkward in ways that are compounded by and made worse by by the increasingly visually complicated and chaotic nature of the scenes in which they appear.) It’s a very specific kind of “experience”, but if you’re asking this question then you probably have some sense already of what I’m talking about.

The two main characters of the story are Dae-ho and his aunt Mi-na. The other secondary characters in the story are Su-ah, the tutor, and Yoo-jin, the friend’s sister. The story falls apart if Mi-na had not made the specific decision to teach Dae-ho about the relationships of adults in such a concrete way. The other characters only add complexity to the initial teacher-student relationship.
