Can't help with a perfect answer because I ended up listening on a subscription service, BookBeat, that's available in my region. It might be worth checking if any of those all-you-can-listen services have it in their catalog where you are. They often do a free trial month. Otherwise, Audible is the safest bet for a direct purchase I think. The narrator does a good job conveying the main character's perspective.

My advice? Skip buying it outright and check your library's digital offerings first. I found 'Being Frank' on Libby about three weeks after putting a hold on it. The wait wasn't bad, and the price was right—free. The audio quality was perfect.

If you're set on owning it, yeah, Audible is the default. But honestly, after listening, I'm not sure I'd need to revisit it enough to own permanently. It was a fun, single-listen kind of book for me. The library route gave me a chance to try it without the commitment. If I loved it more, I'd maybe use a credit later.

Man, I literally went through this exact hunt last month. Wanted the audio version of 'Being Frank' for my commute. The absolute simplest route is through Audible—that's where I got it. It's a seamless download, syncs across devices, and the narration is actually really solid. They nailed Frank's dry humor tone.

I checked Libro.fm too, which is like the indie-bookstore alternative to Audible, and they have it. Slightly prefer supporting them, but I was already in the Amazon ecosystem. If you have a library card, definitely search Hoopla or Libby. My branch didn't have it, but yours might! Randomly, iTunes and Google Play Books also list it, but the price was about the same as Audible without the membership perk. Ended up using a credit and have zero regrets.
