Oh, this is actually a simple one. The books for the main series are numbered right on the covers, so that's your easiest guide. It's 'Dog Man', 'Dog Man: Unleashed', 'Dog Man: A Tale of Two Kitties', then 'Dog Man and Cat Kid', 'Dog Man: Lord of the Fleas', 'Dog Man: Brawl of the Wild', 'Dog Man: For Whom the Ball Rolls', 'Dog Man: Fetch-22', and 'Dog Man: Grime and Punishment'.
Stick to that order for the overall character and villain arcs, like the progression with Petey the cat. The more recent ones kind of assume you've seen his earlier changes. Also, there are some companion books like the 'Dog Man: The Supa Buddies Collection' or 'The Cat Kid Comic Club' series, which are fun but exist sort of alongside it. You won't be lost if you read the numbered ones in order, and that's the core of the whole thing.

I think some folks overcomplicate this. For a kid just getting into them, the best order is honestly just publication order. The books build on previous gags and ongoing character stuff subtly. I tried reading 'Grime and Punishment' to my nephew before some of the earlier ones, and while it still worked, we missed some of the callbacks and inside jokes that make it funnier.
So yeah, start with the first one and work your way forward. The structure is consistent, so if you love the first, you'll love the rest. No need to overthink it, just enjoy the ride one book at a time. The order is literally numbered on the spine.

Publication order works perfectly. 1, 2, 3, and so on up to 9. The humor and character development are pretty serialized, so skipping around might leave you wondering why a certain cat is now good, or where a new robot came from. Reading them in order makes the whole experience much richer.

Savage Sons Mc books 1-5 is a collection of MC romance stories which revolve around five key characters and the women they fall for.
Havoc -
A sweet like honey accent and a pair of hips I couldn’t keep my eyes off. That’s how it started.Darcie Summers was playing the part of my old lady to keep herself safe but we both know it’s more than that. There’s something real between us.Something passionate and primal.Something my half brother’s stupidity will rip apart unless I can get to her in time.
Cyber - Everyone has that ONE person that got away, right?
The one who you wished you had treated differently.
For me, that girl has always been Iris.So when she turns up on Savage Sons territory needing help, I am the man for the job.
Every time I look at her I see the beautiful girl I left behind but Iris is no longer that girl.
What I put into motion years ago has shattered her into a million hard little pieces.
And if I’m not careful they will cut my heart out.
Fang-The first time I saw her, she was sat on the side of the road drinking whiskey straight from the bottle.
The second time was when I hit her dog.
I had promised myself never to get involved with another woman after the death of my wife.
But Gypsy was different.
Sweeter, kinder and with a mouth that could make a sailor blush.
She was also too good for me.
I am Fang, President of the Savage Sons. I am not a good man, I’ve taken more lives than I care to admit even to myself.
But I’m going to keep her anyway.

She enlisted to escape her past. She never expected destiny to find her in the Black Forest.
Army Specialist Rowan Harper has spent her entire life fighting to outrun the pain she left behind in the mountains of West Virginia. Raised by the grandmother who became her whole world and haunted by the mystery of the father she never knew, the Army gave Rowan something she’d never had before—a purpose.
But during a routine training exercise deep in Germany’s legendary Black Forest, everything changes.
Injured and separated from her unit, Rowan is certain she won’t survive the freezing night… until a massive steel-gray direwolf appears from the shadows.
Instead of attacking, the mysterious wolf refuses to leave her side.
He protects her.
Hunts for her.
Keeps her alive.
As Rowan forms an unlikely bond with the silent guardian she calls Fen, she has no idea that the creature watching over her is hiding a secret older than the forest itself.
Because Fen isn’t just a wolf…
He’s a direwolf, an ancient shifter king.
And Rowan isn’t the ordinary soldier she believes herself to be.
As ancient enemies awaken, long-buried family secrets come to light, and an impossible destiny begins to unfold, Rowan must decide whether to trust the mysterious stranger who has been protecting her from the very beginning… or risk losing the only person who has ever truly seen her.
Some bonds are chosen.
Some are written in blood.
And some are forged long before either heart begins to beat.
Perfect for readers who love slow-burn romance, fated mates, military heroines, and breathtaking supernatural adventure, Dog Tags & Direwolves: Rowan’s Awakening is the unforgettable first book in an all-new paranormal romance series.

"Who needs love when I can see the future?"
After being betrayed by my boyfriend and best friend, I died and then woke up five years into the past, bound to a mysterious system.
The quest my System gave me—just two weeks before the zombie apocalypse—was simple: find the most dangerous man in the city and make him my protector.
Unfortunately, that man is a psychopath. A mad dog everyone fears... and the only person capable of keeping me alive.
With Foresight, a pocket dimension, and memories of the world's end, I intend to rewrite my fate.
As long as I survive him first.
(Mature theme present #threesome)
I started with the first one because it was what the library had, and honestly, I'm glad I did. The humor builds on itself, and a lot of the jokes and character introductions in later books make more sense if you've seen where they started. My nephew tried jumping in with book five and was totally confused about who Harold the Hot Dog was and why it was funny.
That said, the first three or four give you a solid feel for the whole series. If you're testing the waters with a kid who's a reluctant reader, you could probably grab any one and they'd still laugh at the flip-o-rama pages. But for the full arc of Petey the cat and the silly ongoing plot, going from the beginning is worth it.
A question that comes up all the time! The main series itself is pretty straightforward: you read 'Throne of Glass' first, obviously. Then 'Crown of Midnight', 'Heir of Fire', and so on, following the publication order through 'Kingdom of Ash'. That's the spine of it. Where people get confused is the prequel, 'The Assassin's Blade'. Honestly, I think the series has more impact if you read that one later, maybe between 'Heir of Fire' and 'Queen of Shadows'—it fills in her backstory just when you're really starting to wonder about it.
I'd skip the extra companion stories until you're done. Trust me, trying to slot those in chronologically on a first read is a headache you don't need. Just enjoy the main ride first.
