Had the same issue. If you mean the geopolitical thriller, try Kobo Audiobooks. I got it there during a sale. The narration was decent, though a bit dry in parts. Also, don't forget to check if your local library partners with cloudLibrary; mine didn't have it, but it's worth a shot.

I looked for the 'Dangerous Game' audiobook a while back and got momentarily stumped. It turns out there's more than one book with that exact title, which is probably why it's not showing up easily on some platforms. The one I wanted was the older romantic suspense novel.
After checking Libby and coming up empty, I found it on Google Play Audiobooks. The sound quality was fine, nothing spectacular, but it got the job done. I'd recommend cross-referencing the author or even the book cover on Goodreads first, then searching that specific version. Scribd might have it in their rotating catalog too, but availability there seems to shift monthly.

For 'Dangerous Game' I had to dig a bit because it's not a super mainstream title, so the exact audiobook can be a little tricky to track down. There's a 2013 thriller by Maggie Shayne and the more recent one by J.T. Geissinger, but the audiobook landscape really depends on which one you're after.
My route for Shayne's version was Audible; they had the exclusive production from Brilliance Audio. It's not always in the Plus catalog, so you might need a credit or purchase. I also checked my library's digital service, Hoopla, and it popped up there without a waitlist, which was a nice surprise. If the Geissinger book is the one, I saw it's definitely on Audible and Apple Books.
Sometimes the narrator makes or breaks it for me. For these, I sampled a minute of each—the Shayne one had a solid, steady pace that fit the suspense tone. If you hit a wall, narrowing down the author's full name in your search helps a lot.

I'd been the perfect girlfriend to my star hockey player for two years.
Stood in the rain at his practices. Drove hours just to watch him warm benches. Wore his jersey like it meant something.
And he repaid me by fucking his way through half of Chicago—including the sister of the one man he's been obsessed with for years.
Zane Mercer.
The NHL's most dangerous player. My stepfather's worst enemy. And the man who looked at me like I was something worth destroying the world for.
One impossible offer.
One desperate bet.
One night that changed everything.
Zane doesn't do fake. He doesn't do half measures.
When he tells me I'm his for two months, he means it. In every way that matters.
But Zane has secrets buried so deep they connect to my family's past in ways I never imagined. Dark secrets. Deadly ones.
What starts as a transaction turns into obsession.
What starts as revenge turns into something I can't walk away from.
And what starts as a lie might be the only truth that matters.
They say some men are too dangerous to love.
They're right.
But I was never good at following warnings.

This book contains explicit sexual content, dominant/possessive behavior, morally gray characters, family conflict, and themes that may be triggering. Intended for mature readers 18+.
This isn’t your normal hockey romance. It’s dark, raw, and unrelenting—where obsession, desire, and power collide, and nothing is off-limits.
William hated the mafia more than anything. Haunted by the brutal death of his sister, the young officer accepts a dangerous mission to infiltrate the notorious Tiger Fangs gang and steal a file that could bring the entire mafia empire crashing down. He disguised himself as the secretary to the gang’s ruthless leader, Dante Gordiano.
But nothing prepares William for Dante himself. He was mesmerising, ruthless, and far too captivating. William had imagined an ugly beast for such a reputation as Dante’s.
Every stolen glance, every heated exchange chips away at William’s resolve. The deeper he goes, the more he risks losing not just his mission… but his heart also.
Yet Dante has his own game to play as he lures William into the little stage he has prepared. Enemies close in from every side with traitors hiding in plain sight and allies with knives behind their backs.
Lies and deceit weave the chains tighter and William finds himself trapped in a deadly dance of power, passion, and betrayal.
In a world where love is a weapon and trust is a luxury, William must decide. Was Dante his ruin, or the only one who could save him?
One dare. One kiss. One ruthless Alpha who won't let me go.
I thought it was just a game.
Kiss the scariest guy in the club for five hundred dollars. Easy money I desperately needed for tuition. What could go wrong?
Everything.
The man I kissed wasn't just dangerous—he was Tyler Raxon Raven. The Alpha of the Raytheon Pack. A billionaire warmonger known for tearing throats first and asking questions never. The kind of predator even other Alphas fear.
I expected to be thrown out. Maybe slapped. I didn't expect him to kiss me back. And I definitely didn't expect the entire club to go deathly silent when I pulled away.
My mistake wasn't the kiss. It was who I kissed.
Now, the doors are locked. The music is off. And the most dangerous man in the city is staring at me with hunger in his eyes, claiming his wolf has chosen me as his mate.
But Tyler doesn't do romance. He does deals.
When my aunt collapses and the hospital demands fifty thousand dollars I don't have, Tyler makes me an offer I can't refuse: He'll pay for everything. He'll give me wealth beyond my wildest dreams.
All I have to do is marry him. Wear his mark. Warm his bed.
And give him an heir.
I'm a nobody—a broke scholarship student, an Omega in a world of Alphas. He's a ruthless billionaire with enemies circling and a reputation for violence that terrifies the Council itself.
I should run. I should fight. I should do anything except agree.
But my aunt is dying. And Tyler holds all the cards.
He took something from me without asking. Now he's taking everything else.
Welcome to The Eyrie. Where Alphas make the rules, mates have no choice, and one dare changes everything.
When the arrogant and ruthless billionaire and mafia king, Dante Russo and the daughter of a dubious mogul, Vivian Lau enter into a marriage arrangement under duress, orchestrated by a blackmail scheme that threatens Dante's position, Dante is furious. But he has to to protect his reputation and his brother's life.
Dante is ruthless and arrogant, initially determined to end the engagement and destroy Vivian's father's company. Vivian, while outwardly compliant and ambitious, finds herself falling for her new husband, which complicates her life and plans.
The story follows Vivian's journey from a dutiful daughter to a strong-willed woman who finds her own voice and learns to assert her own desires and
boundaries.
Dante, through his interactions with Vivian, begins to let his guard down and develops genuine feelings for her.
But what happens when there is another scheme that threatens Dante's position and holds more risk and promise of death for his family. Someone is determined to destroy the Russo family, and Vivian stands in his way.
And he is more than determined to do anything to bring the Russo empire down, even if it means fulfilling Vivian's death wish...
She was the daughter of a monster.
He was the brother of a ghost.
And their love was never supposed to exist.
Sama Arthur has spent her entire life locked away in a golden cage—an Omega born to a cruel kingpin who saw her as a pawn, not a person. The only man who ever showed her kindness died for it. So she ran. She bled. She disappeared. Now she lives under a stolen name, with trembling hands and nightmares she hides behind lipstick and laughter.
But monsters have long memories. And so does Dean Wason.
Dean is an Alpha forged in blood, trained to kill, and fueled by one thing—revenge. His younger brother was executed with a bullet to the head. The killer walked free. Now Dean wants to break him—but not with bullets. With heartbreak. With suffering. With the thing his enemy loves most.
So he hunts Sama. He stalks her. Finds her. But when he finally sees the terrified woman dancing under neon lights, he doesn’t see a target. He sees something twisted and broken. Something like him. And that changes everything.
She’s supposed to die.
He’s supposed to walk away.
But obsession is a wildfire—and neither of them is safe.
What starts as a trap turns into a war of dominance and surrender, secrets and scars. Dean wants to hate her. Sama wants to survive him. But desire is betrayal. And love? Love is lethal.
When lies unravel and the truth cuts deep, Sama learns that Dean isn’t just the man who could destroy her—he’s the only one who ever truly saw her. And Dean? He realizes that the woman who ruined his mission is the only one who ever understood his pain.

If you crave dark romance, forbidden attraction, and a dangerous Dom/Sub dynamic woven into a twisted love story, ‘THE DEVIL’S GAME’ was written for you.
I got the audiobook from Audible a few months back. I remember checking a couple other places first—Apple Books had it too, but the Audible version had a narrator I liked from another series, so I went with that. It's still up there last I checked.
If you're not tied to a subscription, Libby might be worth a shot through your local library, though I've heard the waitlist can be long for newer titles. I don't think it's on Spotify's audiobook side yet, but sometimes those pop up later.
Man, I went on a whole scavenger hunt for that one. Wanted to listen to it on a road trip last month. Ended up finding it on Audible, which felt like the obvious place, but the sample wasn't great so I checked other spots.
It's also on Google Play Books audiobooks, and I think I saw it on Libby through my local library, but the waitlist was insane. Honestly, the narrator on Audible grew on me after a chapter or two, even though the accent work is a bit much in places.
