Diana Gabaldon's later Outlander titles are a bit trickier to track down for audio compared to the early ones. I spent a while looking for 'Written in My Own Heart's Blood' myself. Your most reliable source is definitely Audible – it's exclusive there as part of their deal. You can buy it outright or use a credit if you're a member.
If you prefer not to use Audible, check with your local library via the Libby or OverDrive app. Wait times can be long because it's popular, but it's free. I've had no luck finding it on other subscription services like Spotify or Scribd, it seems locked to that Audible arrangement. Sometimes you can find CDs through used marketplaces, but the digital route is far more convenient for a book that length.

Audible has it. That's the only place I found it for a seamless download. The narration is fantastic, but the exclusivity is a bit of a pain. You could try seeing if any bigger library systems you have access to have it, but otherwise, it's an Audible credit.

I actually borrowed the audiobook from my library's digital collection last month. It took about three weeks on hold, but it was worth the wait. Davina Porter narrates it, and she IS Claire for me at this point, so I wanted that continuity.
A heads-up if you go the library route: the file is huge, obviously. Make sure you have space. I wouldn't bother with random free sites; the audio quality is often terrible or they're just scams. It's either Audible for owning or library apps for borrowing. That's the landscape for this one.

The Blood Bond We Broke

For five years, the entire vampire world knew that Caelan Vale only drank my blood.
Not because I was special. Simply because he chose me, and everyone assumed that made me the Vampire Prince’s only blood source. His only exception.
Until tonight.
The man who never allowed anyone to touch him lowered his head and drank from another woman’s hand.
Isolde Voss. Caelan’s real fiancée.
“Claire, you didn’t actually think a human could become a Prince's consort, did you?”
I stood there without moving.
Humans could only ever remain human.
I thought I was the exception. In the end, I never even qualified to be one.
I placed the blood bond release papers in front of him and told him they were travel documents.
Caelan didn’t even lower his eyes.
The black fountain pen slid across the page as he signed his name with careless ease, just like everything he had done to me over the past five years.
He had no idea that what he was personally letting go of was not just me.
Beneath my cloak, I was already carrying his only half-blood heir.
Later, everyone searched for the runaway human.
But by then, I had already erased my scent.
This time, even the high and mighty Vampire Prince would not find me so easily.
Once, I was the one begging for his love.
Now, it was his turn.
After I was reborn, I was the one who changed the name on my blood bond with Prince Mortlock. I wrote in “Isabella”—the other vampire he’d always cherished, always protected.
When Isabella wanted the ruby necklace, the one that marked the Prince's Mate, I let her have it.
The wedding dress Mortlock had prepared for me? I gave that to Isabella, too.
I did it all because in my past life, I got my wish. I became Mortlock’s mate, but I lived every moment in Isabella’s shadow. In the end, during a battle with vampire hunters, Mortlock ran to a wounded Isabella first. I was the one left to take a silver stake through the heart.
So this time, I decided to let them be. To stay far away from Mortlock.
But this time, the cold, distant Prince wept and begged me to be his mate again.
At least as far back as she can remember, she has always known she was different.
Raised in a small town by loving grandparents and surrounded by generations of whispered traditions, she grew up learning that some things are simply known, not explained. Dreams carry warnings, family recipes heal more than the body, and the women in her family possess a gift they call "the Knowing."
As she comes of age, she finds herself caught between the world she was born into and the life she hopes to build. Guided by a strong moral code, fierce loyalty, and gifts she doesn't fully understand, she must learn that family isn't always defined by blood.
Set against the backdrop of Appalachian folk magic, old secrets, and deep-rooted traditions, The Knowing in Her Blood is a story of love, sacrifice, and discovering that true power lies not in where you come from, but in the family you choose and the life you are willing to fight for.
SYNOPSIS
He saved her life. Now she’s trapped in his world.
When Juliana Casco is attacked outside a nightclub, salvation comes in the form of a man she never expected: Alexander Valente, cold, commanding, and terrifyingly powerful. But what seems like a random rescue quickly spirals into something far more dangerous. The attempted abduction was a message… and Juliana was the bait.
Alexander is no stranger to bloodshed. Forced into the mafia life as a teenager, he rose through the ranks by killing the monster who raised him, his own father. Now the youngest and most feared Don in the Familia, Alexander is ruthless in protecting what’s his.
And after that night, Juliana is his.
Kept under tight guard in Alexander’s mansion, Juliana is torn between fear and fiery attraction. The man who holds her captive is the same one who makes her pulse race. But as she digs into the secrets surrounding her stepfather, one of Alexander’s men, Juliana discovers a tangled web of betrayal, power, and a past she was never meant to escape.
As secrets surface and desire ignites, she’s caught between a man she should fear and a passion she can’t ignore.
The deeper she falls into Alexander’s world, the harder it becomes to tell whether he’s her captor… or her only chance at survival.
Dark. Addictive. Explosive.
Blood & Oath is a gripping mafia romance about loyalty, revenge, and a love so fierce it might just destroy them both.
After the death of her estranged grandmother, Ayla inherits a crumbling estate—and a ring etched with runes she can’t read. But the moment she slips it on, the barrier between the mortal world and the realm of night cracks.
Enter Lucien, a vampire noble exiled for treason, bound by oath to protect the bloodline that nearly wiped out his own. And Ayla? She’s the last of that bloodline—and possibly the key to restoring or destroying his dying realm.
Ayla doesn't want anything to do with vampires, ancient wars, or cursed magic. But when hunters come for her, and she starts hearing voices in her sleep, Lucien becomes her only protection—and possibly her greatest threat.
“Her blood can save the world… or burn it to ash.”
Nineteen-year-old Neemah has never truly belonged, not to the Riverdane wolf clan that raised her, not to the human world she barely remembers. But when the pack council discovers her father was a vampire, she’s sent to the Academy of Supernaturals to learn what she really is: a dhampire. Among the faes, witches, vampires, and shifters, Neemah stands alone, in a place where bloodlines are everything. Her only safe place is Davorin, her fated mate and the Alpha’s son… until strange attacks and whispered prophecies reveal the truth: her blood is the key to an ancient power that could grant immortality itself.
Will she protect the world from the immortals who crave her blood, or become the monster they have been waiting for?
Ohh, Diana Gabaldon's 'Written in My Own Heart's Blood'! I adore the 'Outlander' series, and this eighth installment had me glued to my Kindle for days. From what I know, PDF versions do exist, but they’re tricky to find legally. The official publisher, Delacorte Press, sells digital editions (e.g., ePub) on platforms like Amazon or Kobo, but PDFs aren’t their standard format. Some fans might’ve created unofficial PDFs for personal use, but I’d caution against shady sites—they often violate copyright.
If you’re hunting for accessibility, I’d recommend checking libraries via OverDrive or purchasing the ePub version, which you can convert to PDF using tools like Calibre. Gabaldon’s lush prose deserves the support of a legit copy anyway! The audiobook’s also fantastic—Davina Porter’s narration brings Claire and Jamie to life in a whole new way.
Man, I was hunting for that one too! I finally tracked it down exclusively on Audible – nowhere else had it, which was super frustrating. The narrator they got for it is fantastic, really captures the gritty, poetic vibe of the prose. It's not one of those free-with-your-subscription ones either, you'll need to use a credit or buy it outright.
Totally worth it though. Hearing those words spoken adds a whole other layer to the experience, like you're in the room with the main character while he's getting tattooed. The production quality is solid, no weird background noise or flat delivery.
Hmm, I don't think it is, at least not as of my last deep dive into audio platforms. I was really hoping to listen to it after seeing some buzz in a few web novel circles, but I came up empty on Audible, Google Play, and the usual spots. It's a shame because the premise sounded perfect for audio—that dark, urban fantasy vibe with a protagonist literally bound to mystical ink? Could be so atmospheric with the right narrator.
Maybe its status as a serial from a smaller platform means audio rights haven't been sorted yet, or it's just not on the priority list. I ended up reading it on my phone, which was fine, but I kept imagining how a voice actor would handle those tense ritual scenes.
