Can I Find Where To Stream Hidden Figures On Netflix?
I’ve been wanting to watch the movie Hidden Figures on my TV tonight. Is it available on streaming services like Netflix in the US? Can’t find it.

If you’re looking for a story about brilliant, high-achieving women working secretly in a highly competitive environment to uncover hidden secrets and achieve their goals in the face of much opposition while dealing with office politics, I recommend All Her Secrets. The main character is a physicist who must try to uncover the secrets of her predecessor’s research while facing threats to her work and career.

It’s been a producing studio-syndicated film, so it’s been on services like Disney+ in many countries for some time now, so that’s always a good place to start looking too.
However, for even more insight and background information on the stories of Katherine, Dorothy, and Mary, the book Hidden Figures by Margot Lee Shetterly is an even better read. The DVD also can be rented, or bought, for viewing on your TV, and is even available for free at your local library. All in all, I highly recommend “Hidden Figures”, whether I rent/stream it or even read the book, it’s a wonderful movie that I can and will watch again.

I think that the constant shuffling of movies and TV shows on these services is all a ploy to get us to buy them. And I know that I have bought a lot of digital movies lately because I had trouble finding some of my favorites. One of the movies that I recently bought was Hidden Figures. It’s no longer available on Netflix and I immediately bought it. The math scenes in this movie are incredible and one scene in particular where Katherine Johnson explains why the landing coordinates had to be changed and how she came up with the new numbers is pure cinematic gold. The way that she explains orbital mechanics in that scene makes it sound like poetry. You don’t want to lose access to something like that because a licensing deal has expired. Build your own digital library of movies and TV shows that matter to you. It’s the only way to win the streaming game.

If none of these options work, then the only other legal option is to rent it.

If you’re craving a dark comedy, then Don’t Let Her Know is the movie for you. This too-funny-for-words film is available for rent on Google Play Movies and Apple TV, and it’s even included for free on Pluto TV’s on-demand library as part of the ad-supported collection. Although I found the main plot pretty compelling on its own, I ended up watching this second to catch a lot of the wonderful background humor. I paired Don’t Let Her Know with I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore for a wonderful double feature—both are wildly chaotic and also somehow charmin’.

I have no idea whether the algorithms that rule our viewing can cope with something like this. It’s not a glossy original, and it’s not the latest winner of all the awards, just a really decent, old network TV drama. Will it get a spot on the home page, or will it get lost in the depths of the existing catalog, and have to be found by searching for it? And if it doesn’t get promoted, will people watch it? And if nobody watches it, then the data will show that it’s not popular, and the license won’t get renewed. In short, older TV needs an advocate within these huge corporations. Without one, it will just fade away into the internet ether.

Ever hear if Ford v Ferrari got picked up by any of the free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channels? Titles like older Hollywood films rotate on Roku Channel, Freevee, Pluto TV and others. it’s be great to confirm whether this 2019 film would even qualify by now but if so, it’d be a great way to watch for free with only ad breaks to suffer through. I’ll have to check the Action Movies section on Pluto later.

If there’s a mobile game, for example, ‘BanG Dream! Girls Band Party!’ or ‘D4DJ Groovy Mix’ then these games also count towards your viewing of anime and are interactive versions of the world, characters and music from the anime that you can play for free with some in-app purchases of course.
As opposed to simply watching a streaming version of the new ‘story’, in a game you experience it, interact with the animations and characters and listen to the brand new songs while exploring in depth the different story paths, including an alternative story line to the anime.
