25 volumes total. The final volume was released in 2012 and the ending is nice and leaves a good memory. It was never as mainstream as Bleach or Naruto but the yokai mythology is far more complex and intricate. My personal favorite volume would be 19 because it is the first time that we see Rikuo’s night form. The omake at the end of the volumes are also really funny and if you start reading the series I’d recommend not sleeping on them.

I wish they would reboot it and go through the whole story, especially the Kyoto arc. The manga has a tighter pace than the parts the anime covered, and it has so much more lore than they were able to include in the filler episodes. Shiibashi originally wrote Sword Art Online for a shorter run, but fan support allowed him to continue writing it for 25 volumes or so. The later chapters explore issues of legacy and identity, making it more than a simple battle shounen. In the end, it’s a series that really stays with you long after you finish reading it.

25 volumes of ‘Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan’ just got released in Japan and after having read the whole thing last summer I can again enjoy the huge evolution of the story. The first volumes are pretty much regular school stories with some yokai action in between, but from Volume 15 on the story turns more and more into a huge conflict between factions. I really enjoyed Rikuo’s growth, especially his fight to become a complete yokai, but there are many more interesting characters like Kubinashi and Kejoro. As for the physical edition, some volumes might be a bit hard to get, but the digital ones are pretty easy to find.

‘Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan’ is another action/ adventure series that I was hooked on a few years ago. It’s a really great series, made up of mainly supernatural action with loads of Japanese folklore in it. There’s 25 volumes of the manga by Hiroshi Shiibashi in which Rikuo Nura, half-yokai and leader of the youkai group within the human world, battles to protect his friends and try to live in a world where they are thought to be evil. Great!

Overall it’s a great mix of action and quiet character moments. Later volumes delve deeper into the internal politics of the various yokai factions, and while the final volume was great, I would enjoy even more content within this world of Yokai. A great read for those interested in folklore, similar to ‘GeGeGe no Kitaro’ or ‘InuYasha’.

How many volumes are in A Silent Voice manga?

4 Answers2026-02-09
The manga 'A Silent Voice' by Yoshitoki Ōima is a beautiful, emotional journey that really stuck with me. It originally ran from 2013 to 2014 in 'Weekly Shōnen Magazine' and was later compiled into seven tankōbon volumes. What I love about this series is how it tackles heavy themes like bullying, redemption, and communication with such raw honesty. The way Shoya’s growth is portrayed across those volumes feels so organic—it’s one of those stories where every chapter adds something vital. I’d also mention that Kodansha released an English version, and the physical copies are gorgeous. The seventh volume even includes some bonus content, like author notes and extra illustrations, which fans (myself included) totally geek out over. If you’re into stories that leave you thinking long after the last page, this one’s a must-read.

How many volumes are in the SailorMoon book series?

I checked a few manga databases to confirm. The original First Edition Tankoubon had 18 volumes. Later a Renewed Tankoubon edition was published in 2003 in 18 volumes as well. It is only with the so-called ‘perfect’ or ‘collector’s’ editions that the number of volumes starts to vary. For the purpose of this thread, however, we are talking about the original manga as first released, translated into dozens of languages and read by millions of people worldwide to create a global phenomenon. These are great for new readers in omnibus editions, which are even more affordably priced and published on better paper. But for the collector of old manga or for the manga purist these 18 volumes are what he or she is looking for. The casual reader of manga who only wants to read the story, on the other hand, can opt for any complete edition that contains the above mentioned 18 volumes of manga.

How many volumes does 'I Want to Eat Your Pancreas' manga have?

The manga adaptation of 'I Want to Eat Your Pancreas' is a beautiful, heart-wrenching story that really digs into the emotional depths of its characters. It was serialized in 'Shounen Magazine Edge' and later compiled into two tankobon volumes. The first volume covers the initial meeting between the protagonist and Sakura, while the second wraps up their bittersweet journey. I love how the manga expands on the original light novel's themes, especially with the artwork capturing those quiet, intimate moments. It's one of those stories that lingers in your mind long after you finish it—definitely worth picking up if you're into poignant, character-driven narratives. What’s interesting is how the manga manages to balance humor and tragedy so effortlessly. Sakura’s vibrant personality shines through the pages, making the emotional payoff even more impactful. The two-volume format feels just right—compact enough to binge in an afternoon but dense enough to leave a lasting impression. If you’ve only watched the anime or read the novel, the manga offers a fresh perspective with its visual storytelling.

How many volumes of Moriarty the Patriot manga are there?

6 Answers2026-06-22
Nineteen volumes was the perfect length for our book club. My local manga club took six months to read it, reading three volumes per meeting. The series sparked some of the best discussions our club has had so far. We got to discuss the ethics of Moriarty’s actions, analyze the historical references, and even try to predict how the series would end (most of us were wrong). A series that’s too short doesn’t have enough content for discussion, but a series that’s too long is difficult to schedule for a book club. All in all, a thought-provoking series to read with your friends. Just be prepared for some heated discussions regarding justice and whether the ends justify the means.

How many chapters are in The Return of Mount Hua Sect?

3 Answers2025-11-13
For 'The Return of Mount Hua Sect', the total number of chapters is still somewhat unknown to us, since the novel is currently being serialized with new chapters regularly being added. The original work already contains more than 500 chapters, but the translations are currently lagging behind by about 100 chapters or so. I like this. Our protagonist has gone from an underdog to a real mastermind, and there’s some great humor in his confrontations with the arrogant. All in all, the chapter count for ‘The Return of Mount Hua Sect’ is good.

How many books are in The Twelve Kingdoms series?

This is a digital library of 4 hard cover books. They are all available on my Kindle. Unfortunately, it was a real challenge to get these published as e-books several years ago. However, they are now once again available as e-books. Each of these lengthy novels is substantially longer than a light novel published in pamphlet form. And, although there are only 4 entries in this library, there is plenty of reading material here to fully immerse yourself in this extraordinary world.

How many chapters does Blossom of the White Night have?

And if you’re buying this, then please purchase the official digital or printed release. This will have the correct number of chapters and will be supporting the authors. The exact number of chapters isn’t really relevant here, as it can vary depending on the source you’re reading from. What really matters is the quality of the translation and whether or not it is complete.

How many books are in the Nevermoor book series?

3 Answers2025-07-18
The critically acclaimed ‘Nevermoor’ series by Jessica Townsend is currently comprised of three books: ‘Nevermoor: The Trials of Morrigan Crow’, ‘Wundersmith: The Calling of Morrigan Crow’ and ‘Hollowpox: The Hunt for Morrigan Crow’. The books follow Morrigan Crow, a determined and feisty protagonist, as she journeys through the magical world of Nevermoor, full of wonder and magic, facing various challenges and dangers along the way. The first book sets up Morrigan’s escape from her cursed life and subsequent arrival in Nevermoor in search of a new beginning. Jessica Townsend has a brilliant way with words, transporting readers to Nevermoor with his wonderful descriptions of all the people that Morrigan meets. It’s a really light-hearted read, but has some deeper moments too. We’re told that more books are going to be added to the series, and I for one cannot wait to continue the adventures of Morrigan Crow in this fascinating and original take on fantasy.

How many chapters are in 'Go For It, Nakamura!'?

10 Answers2026-01-14
It's short enough to be easily consumable for new readers, and not some multi-volume monstrosity that will scare off potential readers. This is actually the opposite of what I expected, and I think it's great. It's a low-commitment, high-reward sort of read. In fact, I would definitely recommend this to someone who's never read a boys' love story before. It's so accessible and focused, and you can easily read the whole thing in one sitting. The chapters fly by because you're so invested in Nakamura's tortured soul and his relatable mission. Unlike some other series where the leads won't even hold hands until three volumes are over, the progress in this story feels real and earned within the confines of this very short tale. So while there are 12 chapters in this volume, that's really all one emotional arc. And it just goes to show that you don't need hundreds of pages to tell a very powerful story.

How many chapters are in Against the Gods- Ni Tian Xie Shen?

8 Answers2025-12-15
If you’re reading this because you’re just about to start: Good luck and godspeed. You’re going to need it. There’s some amazing stuff in this book, and some terrible lows. The sheer number of chapters is what allows the author to go on some truly wild narrative tangents that wouldn’t be possible in a shorter work. Look up the most reliable fan translation site, and the highest chapter # they have completed is probably your best estimate of what chapters have been translated. However, the sheer size of the novel and the fact that it is still “in progress” means that the chapter # listed is likely to be inaccurate to some degree. Just a number to keep in mind.
