After living with her father and evil stepmother in their werewolf pack for the last year, Taylor is finally asked to return to her mother and her original pack. What she had been wanting the whole time she was living with her father. But upon her return she learns that the pack has been taken over by another pack and is under a new Alpha after the previous Alpha disappeared. She needs to adjust to a whole new pack then the one that she thought she was going home to. But she knew that her friends were there and that's what she was counting on getting her through this terrible time. Little did she know that the terrible times were just starting, and the Alpha, he wasn't the enemy that she was facing. With a lot of betrayal from the people that she trusted the most and the family that she never knew that she had, she is in for a lot of surprises and a lot of suspense and surprises that she never would have seen coming in a million years.

I never met my real father. Living in a small werewolf community, there were always rumors. But I never really paid much attention. I only listened to what my mother said about him and she never talking about him. So I assumed that it was something painful and I accepted that and left it alone. Being a single teenage mother, she was shunned by the rest of the pack but she wasn't sent out to be Rogue. She managed to finish school, go to college and become a Doctor. She is one of the most highly respected professions but they still treat us like vermin. So when I started getting in numerous fights at school my mother decided it was time to pack up and leave. Go to a new pack and start fresh. And that's where my story begins.

When you have status in a wolf pack then your life is set. You have privilege, you have pretty much everything you can ask for. I used to have that. Until my father, the head warrior, died protecting the Alpha and then all of a sudden we were nothing to the top pack leaders. That was 5 years ago now. I still wonder how my mother managed to live through the death of her mate. She’s the strongest woman I know. Especially after having our house taken off of us, our car, our entire life taken away. When I got to school, I was pretty soaked from the rain and I went inside and went straight to my locker. I could hear a bunch of kids coming down the hallway towards me, and I turned my head slightly to look at them. They were friends that I used to have, and friends that I always refused to have because they were spoiled assholes. One of the guys that was closest to me elbowed me and shoved me into the locker and the rest of his friends started laughing. “Dickhead.” I yelled. And they all stopped. But he slowly turned around to look at me. “What did you just say, trash?” He asked. “You heard me.” I said, turning to face him head on. “I outrank you bitch. You don’t walk away from me. Never forget that.” He yelled. “Fine.” I said, without changing my facial expression at all. So he relaxed a little and pulled back away from me to look at his friends. But then one of his friends yelled at him to look out and when he turned back around to look at me, I punched him straight in the nose.

With her first mating ball coming up, Summer is unusually nervous. She is scared of not meeting her mate, but at the same time she is scared of meeting her mate. But when she heard that word 'MATE' she was relieved that he was nothing like she thought. But when he doesn't want her to tell her father about their mating, she becomes suspicious. Something isn't right there, and she knows that there's something that she doesn't know from the past. When she is being forced to marry a different Alpha, her mate comes to her rescue and hoping to live happily ever after. But that isn't so much the case when her father won't accept them being mates and does everything he can to stop them from being together. Little does he know that she has plans of her own.

If you ask my Alpha father to tell you about anyone in the pack, then he will speak about them in high esteem. If you talk to him about me, then he will deny even knowing me. While parents are supposed to love and protect their children, my father does the exact opposite. No one in our pack even knows that I'm alive. They all think that I died in childbirth. Along with my mother. And he's hated me for that ever since. And he's told me that the pack would hate me for killing their Luna. Only if they really knew the truth. But approaching my 16th birthday our pack had visitors come to help with training the warriors. My father thinking that our pack was becoming an easy target. And well, it was. Until the Alpha of the Protectors Pack found me and declared that I was his and not my fathers. But is that enough to stop my father from trying to get me back? Is there more to my story than I know? Is there a reason why my father kept me beaten and secluded? I guess I was going to have to find out what his real motives are. And how far he is willing to go to get his own way.

My mother’s a doctor and with one beer and some stolen sleeping pills that she knew nothing about, they were knocked out like little babies. I ran to my mother’s room who was working on some paperwork when I grabbed her arm urgently. “We need to leave. We need to leave right now.” I demanded. “What are you talking about?” “Let’s go.” I yelled, yanking her off the bed. We ran down the stairs and out the front door when my mother stopped momentarily when she saw the guards on the ground. She looked at me and knew that I did something but I kept yanking on her arm towards the car. They were ready for us at the border and I could see my mother hesitating as she saw the line of wolves blocking the road. So I reached my leg over and I pushed it on hers so that we would accelerate faster. “Savannah. What the hell are you doing?” My mother screamed. “If he catches us now, what the hell do you think he’s going to do to us?” I asked. “I can’t believe you just did that.” My mother said, practically out of breath. “If I had told you that I was going to do it then you would have stopped me.” I said. “Because Alpha Calvin is not going to stop looking for us. He is going to come after us and it will be even worse when he finds us. We don’t even know where we’re going.” Mom said. “Louisiana.” I said. “What?” She asked, looking at me confused. “We’re going to Louisiana. Alpha Kane at the Hidden Moon Pack.” I said.
