He’s a controlling person, in every aspect of life – pack life, and relationship life. Then there’s Liam, which is the complete opposite of Ethan. Liam lives in a world of chaos, where he uses his constant humor and his flirtatious nature to throw people off guard. There’s Noah, the middle triplet, who is so neither loud nor flash that he’s easily overlooked. Yet, Noah is powerfully perceptive, and can dissect motivations of just about anyone with eerie accuracy.

What makes them interesting is how their various flaws interact. Ethan is over-protective. Liam is hiding fear of rejection under his charm. Noah is emotionally isolated because of his logic. So, instead of just getting three mates, the protagonist gets three broken halves who only work as a whole. How they challenge her is kind of amazing: Ethan tests her limits, Liam makes her laugh, and Noah makes her think. Their scenes together are full of tension whether they’re arguing over tactics or one-upping each other for her affections. And the author is not afraid to show their less than wonderful sides, making their growth all the more satisfying.

And then there’s Noah, the triplet with the greatest emotional depth of all. Slowly but surely, his barriers are chipped away as he develops feelings for the main characters.
