Just poking around some fan feeds and smaller bookstores. I saw The Billionaire Triplets Take New York. That can be a standalone romantic comedy or the first in a series of short novels, following the different siblings/rivals in search of love. And just as authors of series are apt to tease sequels, novels set in the same city as the first, The Billionaire Triplets Take New York could be the first of a series of novels set in the same city, and follow different characters, in a small shared universe. It makes sense for the triplets trope.
When I discovered sequels to books I had read, they were almost always advertised on the author’s page, sometimes with the tag “Book 1” and other times without. So yes, scrolling through fan feeds and stores like this can be very good for tracking down unofficial sequels and even, by fans, lists of related stories, including fanfiction. So whether or not The Billionaire Triplets Take New York is a “series” would depend on the specific edition of the book and how it is marketed on particular sites, but I have a feeling there are plenty of companion books out there, at least. In fact, I stayed up way too late one night, reading a little spin-off. Be warned.

The title of this novel, ‘The Billionaire Triplets Take New York’, makes me wonder if it’s a big, traditionally published multi-volume romance novel by a major publishing house. Having investigated further, it seems more likely to be a single novel, perhaps published as a serial on a self-publishing platform. The author may refer to it as Book 1 if there are more novels planned, but there is no indication of that from the title alone.
I recognize this pattern from having browsed Amazon listings, Wattpad-style story feeds, and indie romance publisher’s shelves. When these books are extended past the single novel, it’s often in the form of a few novellas or companion stories to the main event, sometimes arranged in a formally-numbered trilogy but more often left to stand on their own as a few separate books, including a same-universe follow-up or even each of the Triplets getting their own book. I enjoy finding these additional stories, and have been impressed by the variety of takes on the triplet brothers trope, ranging from the trashy to the sweet. The title seems designed to tempt me into a long, lazy weekend of reading. I get tempted. Last weekend, for example, I read two of these-type novels in a row.

I went on to a couple of bookstores pages and even a couple of traditional publisher-style pages for the book (btw it looks like a standalone romance / a single entry in a loosely connected series of very short novellas rather than a full-on series of multiple books). Many indie authors publish a main story and then follow up with companion stories when a particular character or two click with readers.
I typically rely on the following indicators to confirm whether or not an author has penned an official series of novels: (1) The series number listed on a retailer’s page for a given title; (2) The presence of distinct ISBNs for individual volumes; and/or (3) The inclusion of a novel within an author’s comprehensive bibliography, which will typically list all such works in order of publication – i.e., “Book 1,” “Book 2,” and so on. Libraries and traditional book publishers will generally list novels that are part of official series within their catalog entries for said works. I have noticed that many authors opt for the former approach (i.e., they publish standalone novels within a given genre or niche), while others develop larger series comprising novels that feature the various siblings within a given family, or, alternately, the same group of characters and/or setting with respect to various romantic partners. In any case, as someone who devours novels of this particular tropes for their guilty-pleasure value, I am happy to report that there are, in fact, numerous other works that fit within the relevant category – and I have very much enjoyed each and every one of them.

I did a little research. Most online lists, etc. list ‘The Billionaire Triplets Take New York’ as a standalone novel, possibly with companion novels. Much of the indie romance novels are written by authors who write a very popular standalone and then expand on it writing additional novels that are somewhat connected but are not necessarily part of a series of publisher backed novels.
I also looked up Indie bookstore and online fan sites for “The Billionaire Triplets Take New York” to see if it is released as part of a larger series of novels. A quick scan to determine if it is released as a standalone novel with possible spin-off novels would be to 1) check for multiple ISBNs; 2) look for a series identifier (e.g. “Book 1 of The Billionaire Triplets Series”) on online marketplaces; and 3) check the author’s website for a listed sequence of novels. But as it is right now, “The Billionaire Triplets Take New York” is perfectly happy as a one-off novel that I can read in a weekend and then move on to another cozy little universe.

Vincenzo's hand trails down to my thigh, lifting it slightly to his hip.
“Do you want that?” He asks roughly. “Do you want us?”
I stare at him lustfully. My eyes clouded with lust, passion and desire.
I'm surrounded. Drenched in lust. Filled with passion and burning fire. Filled with the heat of desire pooling in my stomach.
I'm horny as fuck.
I should say no. I should.
I'm not supposed to be doing this.
Not with my stepbrothers.
Not with three of them all at once.
But what comes out of my mouth is a whisper.
“Yes.”
All three of them groan.
“Your wish is our command, my vixen,” Riccardo says hoarsely, and I shiver.
