Sara sat astride Austin’s lap, and their mouths met in a heated, intense kiss. The force of their connection crackled between them, stoking a fire that threatened to overwhelm both of them.
“Mmm,” Sara breathed, her voice soft against Austin’s lips.
“I hate you,” Austin rumbled, his hands settling on her hips and drawing her nearer. His grip was firm, and a tremor ran through her at his touch.
Sara’s hands moved over him just as restlessly; her fingers followed the shape of Austin’s face, her thumbs brushing lightly over his mouth. “I hate you too,” she whispered, her tone nearly lost amid the weight of the moment.
They pulled apart briefly. Austin brushed his thumb along the curve of Sara’s lower lip. She sighed, threading her fingers into his hair and drawing him back toward her.
Sara’s hands wandered over his torso, mapping the shape of his chest. She caught the edge of his shirt and tugged it up, pulling it over his head.
When his chest was bared, Austin’s gaze locked with hers, a quiet caution glinting in his eyes. “You’re going to regret this tomorrow,” he said, his voice low and gravel‑edged.
Sara met his stare with defiance, her hands still resting against his chest. “We don’t even like each other,” she replied, her voice thick with emotion.
