Bookshelves lined the walls, filled with volumes on finance, psychology, geopolitics, and criminal law. A desk sat near the window, papers neatly stacked.
Dominic gestured inside. “You’ll spend your mornings here.”
I frowned. “Doing what?”
“Learning how power is maintained,” he replied. “Not through violence, but through dependency.”
