I knew he was waiting for me, but I walked past him. “Harper.” I ignored him. He ran after me immediately. “Harper, wait.” I kept moving. A few seconds later, I heard his footsteps behind me. I stopped suddenly and turned to him. His hand hung in the air and he lowered it back down. “Hey, why are you ignoring me again?” He asked, gazing at me so innocently. That upset me more. “Because I don’t want to talk to you,” I told him. He squeezed his face, looking surprised. He moved closer and tried to touch my arm, but I recoiled away.

I ignored it at first, until it became rather clear that he wasn't even listening to me anymore. "What are you staring at, babe?" I tried to snap him out of his state. "Is our food coming or something?" When he still didn't reply, I finally turned my head to follow his gaze, the breath practically leaving my lungs when I saw exactly what he was so distracted by.

"What?" "Whenever you misses me, just look at the brightest star in the sky. That would be me watching you from above because you know how much I am dead to you. No matter how much I really need to leave you, I can't. So, there I am, staring at you from afar instead. Don't mind the distance, alright? Staring at you from here nor from afar has no difference at all. No matter how far nor how close the distance is, I'm still staring at the girl who made my life the best."

He has no right to judge me. "What?" I bark at him. "Why the hell are you staring at me?" "Sorry, I wasn't staring", he says. "Liar, you were staring", I shouted. Zoe looks at me. I ignore her. I am no longer in the mood to go shopping and I wish I can tell him to turn back and take us home. "I wasn't staring at you, ma'am", he repeats. I am about to tell him to shut the fuck up when he adds.

I guess I kinda expecting her to call again. I stare at my phone for a couple of minutes before hitting the decline button. That will stop her—for now. I immediately shoved my phone back into my pocket as my eyes caught Adrian leaving the cabin. I knew he was already awake—just ignoring me. There's a large distance between us, but it didn't stop me from matching his pace. I know he kind of noticed, but he's acting like he doesn't care. For the entire time, my eyes kept darting toward Adrian. I don't know if he notice or just bluntly ignoring me. Either way, my eyes are not in my control.

“Please look at me.” Hesitantly, I lifted my head up slightly, peeling my blurry eyes open to stare at him—seeing as he’d kept a reasonable distance away from me so as to not overwhelm me, but close enough to speak closely. My body shook slightly, still slightly caught up on the mess that just happened.

Putting more and more distance between us, hoping that I’ll finally be able to breathe with every step I take. Spoiler alert: it doesn’t work. His gaze stays on me all the way to my apartment.

No way in hell was I going to sit here and be treated like a ghost. " Excuse me," I said while waving my hand in front of him to get his attention. His old expressionless gaze fell on me. If looks could kill, I was a goner. I ignored his intimidating gaze. " Should we just leave or something? I mean, you have been on your phone since everyone left and... we are not doing anything." He silently looked at my face like he was scrutinizing it. I started to feel uncomfortable with his eyes on me. " What is it? Why are you not saying anything? Do I have something on my face?" I asked, touching my face.

I looked up, my eyes searching for his. He stopped. His body went stiff, his head turning toward me. I saw his nostrils flare as he caught my scent, his grey eyes softened, Then, his face turned to stone. He didn't say a word. He didn't even acknowledge that I was a human being. He looked right through me as if I were part of the floor and walked down the steps. His heavy boots clicked right past my bleeding fingers, splashing dirty water onto my dress. He was ignoring me. He was trying to starve the bond by pretending I didn't exist.

"Let me see it." Knowing what he was asking for, I brought my wrist to my chest, protectively. "It's really not that bad," I said while avoiding his intently stare. "Then let me f*cking see it." he firmly state, causing me to relinquish. I'm scared that if I provoke him today, he will ignore me again. Why am I bothered if he ignores my presence? He does not even bother himself, turning his head at me and not pissing my day after we had that argument.
