Summer launched into a detailed account of everything—from the coordinator shoving me to Diana's condescending remarks. Her words tumbled out so fast I couldn't stop her. It was a bright summer's day when Bobby had mustered up the courage to call her his girlfriend. It was the first week in high school and Summer was the emotional punching bag for many kids.
