Novel & Cerita He Burned Me Alive Now I Shine Like The Stars

"Forget the favour I owe your father, you'll die today. Right here and right now!" A gun was trailed on him and a shot was fired. Omar didn't have much time to react, he only took a step back but Parvina, without thinking stepped in to block the bullet but because she was shorter, the bullet meant for Omar's left shoulder hit her straight in the forehead. She crumbled down to the floor, dead.

she smiled, looking down at me I focused my gaze on the reflection of the raging fire in her eyes as she uttered the next words like she knew everything would go wrong after that night, "I want you to be like the rose. Wear all your scars with a smile on your face. Let your beautiful smile and your personality shine like the moon. I want you to be the moon in the dark skies of whoever"

Not one of them held back. They severed the tendons in my hands and feet, shattered my legs, and drove their knives into my chest over and over again. They screamed for revenge—for brothers, for family, for blood. One of them grabbed my chin and demanded I apologize. However, the pain no longer registered. I just stared blankly up at the bright blue sky. How beautiful. Not a single cloud. Exactly the same as the day I first arrived in this world. "Mission failed. Erasure initiated. In one hour, all records of your existence will be deleted. Hazel Tanner will cease to exist in this world."

I heard a tranquil voice like a whisper next to my ears. “Because after all, constellations are nothing but people drawing their scars in the sky, right? So, let’s draw our scars in the stars and hope that they listen…” Tears trailed down my eyes. My heart thundered up to survival beats. That voice. I opened my bleary eyes with a snap to the bullets levitating inches away from my face. Dia.

The kind nuns put together all their money to rush me to the hospital and saved my life. The oldest nun looked at me with such sadness in her eyes. "My dear, you're so young. Why would you want to stop living?" When had anyone last been so kind to me? I cried and cried. After coming so close to dying, what could possibly be so bad that I could not handle it? Once I got out of the hospital, I blocked every avenue I had to contact Alexander and sent him one last text: [Forget it. I hope you and Camila are happy.]

Watching the police car drive away, I collapsed to the ground. I felt completely drained. After experiencing the same tragedy in both lives, I was at my limit physically and mentally. Michael helped me into the passenger seat of the car and started the engine. As I watched the scenery pass me by outside the window, I couldn't stop crying. Jared hadn't always been like this. I couldn't believe that a person could change so much in just a few years. Years ago, when my house caught fire, I was surrounded by flames. Just as I was at the brink of despair, Jared rushed through the fire like a hero and saved me.

The Luna who had been abandoned, forsaken, and declared dead had not burned in the fire. She had risen from the ashes, stronger than before, and had crushed those who had wronged her underfoot.

I screamed until my voice gave out. > “Will you bear the weight of what you are, Alpha?” “I…” My voice was a broken whisper. “I will. I have to.” > “Then you will burn until only truth remains.” And I did. I burned. The flames roared until they became white, a pure, merciless light, and then everything was gone. No pain, no sound. Just the cold, empty echo of my own heartbeat. When I woke up, the world was still. The mist had cleared. I was lying on scorched earth, the smell of smoke heavy around me. My clothes were torn, my hands blackened. Every breath hurt.

I'm going to need it to get through tonight. Once the burning goes away, I open my eyes again. Bruno’s face is priceless. "You're driving." I say, holding back a cough. To be fair, it wasn't targeted. He is the only other one who can drive stick well enough to get us home after this place is struck with disaster tonight. It's about five minutes until Nara’s show. I had two more drinks that I only just started to feel. Stella took her to the back to get a better outfit.

Those words sank into my heart like a thousand steel needles. I had already spent over four years living as someone dependent, unwanted, trapped. They didn't love me. They tormented me. And yet, they refused to let me go. It was true—I could leave soon. Just not with Jonathan. I would leave on my own. My phone was still at the Sterling house. I would get it back, one way or another. And before I left, I wanted to say goodbye—to him, and to the past we had shared. "I can't walk anymore. Will you carry me?"
