“Have you held Akayda the way you held Jade? And if I remember correctly, Jade was wearing a mask. And she had blue eyes. Akayda's eyes are brown.”
“That’s true,” I admitted.
I paused, then asked, “Let me ask you something. How many people—women do you know who use a perfume combo of jasmine and coconut?”
His brows drew together instantly. “A combo like that exists? That’s a weird mix.”
“Exactly,” I said. “That night, I smelled that exact combo on Jade. And the very next morning, Akayda walked into my office wearing the same scent.”
Eric leaned back slowly, eyes widening.
