In my twenty five years of life, I’ve never felt this. I caught her before her body could touch the ground. Blood, there was so much of it. It was everywhere. Her dress was soaked with hers and the slave boy was lying on his. I loved spilling blood but right now the sight of it made my stomach churn, my recently beating heart twisted in severe pain. The cloaked man broke out in a run but I didn’t go after him. I can’t leave Jade behind. “Noir!” I roared both through the mind link and physically. I felt the ground shake beneath me, the trees ruffling. My hands trembled holding her body.

Jade was a werewolf, and she was a half-blood, with the powers of the Soul Gem. At the thought of her late mother, tears welled up in her eyes and she cried. She sobbed quietly for a moment, mourning the loss of the woman that had taken her in and raised her as her own. She would forever love Maria, but now she had to find out who her real parents were. The first thing she had to do was to unravel the mystery surrounding her birth. Since she was a half-blood, it meant one of her parents had been a werewolf and had fallen in love with a human. But why had she been abandoned? Didn't they want her?

Jade grabbed his shoulder and tried to restrain him. That caused the first disagreement between them. Jhon kept insisting, but kissed her hands. However, the girl didn't seem very happy about this. It was obvious that this person was doing it all because he wanted to, he was a Lycan who controlled himself.

I ran to Jade and picked him in my arms. “Jade!” I shook his body. “Jade!” He wasn’t breathing, but he was still warm.

Jade said. Jade was trained in magic and sorcery. He placed his hand over the open wound in my body and a dim blue bubble enclosed that area, suddenly siphoning the poison from my bloodstream. "You should be better now," Jade said to me. "Impressive," Elder Jonas clapped. "We'll capture you. You'll be of use to Sloane." Jade snarled at him, but I signaled him to not engage in a battle against elder Jonas. He was mine to kill, mine to destroy.
