"You didn't tell me that you were about to be murdered." "Lucres if anyone should be hunted down and killed, it's you. Got that?" Armani vented. "So let's play." He laughed cynically. His men were positioned behind him for safety. We were totally outnumbered, all I had was Armani and the driver then there was me whose Martial art skills were just developing and I was in a stupid ball gown tonight. All I could handle were shot guns in addition to my dagger which was strapped to my thighs underneath the goddamn dress.

Arthur, the Eighth Brother. He looked like a man who had spent his life building bridges of steel while his brothers built bridges of starlight. He carried a cane topped with a simple silver wolf’s head, and behind him stood a legion of soldiers in "Null-Armor"—suits designed to absorb kinetic energy and ground it into the earth.

And there would be more. Joseph looked on and finally saw the four power-armors, still standing but with their upper body hunched forward, slouching like a crumbling statue. Each and every visor ruptured open with smoke coming out of them. Their weakest spot. And the Kalayaan Spec Ops made sure and quick work of it. Real quick work. He looked away. He didn't want to see what was inside. He knew what was inside.

The Samurai" Nakamura, a highly skilled martial artist hailing from Japan. She has trained extensively in karate and muay thai, and is known for her lightning-fast kicks and powerful punches. Yuka is also a master of grappling techniques, and can quickly take her opponents down to the mat. In the opposite corner stood Maria "The Beast" Rodriguez, a fierce competitor from Brazil. Maria is a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and is known for her incredible ground game. She is also a skilled striker, and can deliver devastating blows with both her fists and feet. Maria is famous for her never-say-die attitude, and is always looking for an opportunity to finish her opponents.

Those who had worked their way out of the novice ranks and were trusted enough to control their own minds wore their facial expressions like masks, barely covering the bubbling mixture of exhilaration and fear which simmered just below the surface of their composure. “You alright?” Ally asked, her skin almost luminous in the pale light. I nodded, not trusting my voice enough to speak out my anxieties. I had helped Morpheus with his armour, marvelling at the gold-plated breast plate which had been engraved with a poppy – the symbol of the Dreamlands. He looked so dashing – like a knight from my wildest dreams – that it was hard to maintain serious about the whole fight... until I remembered t

"It's the giant glowing pillar in the center of the vault! But Jack, you have to hardwire yourself into it! You have to physically anchor your Void arm to the mainframe!" Jack surged forward, his Valkyrie-Apex armor blazing. He closed the distance to Arthur in a heartbeat. The patriarch sneered, pulling a silver derringer from his vest—a weapon forged from a collapsed star. He aimed it directly at Jack’s forehead. "Your hostile takeover ends here, boy." Arthur pulled the trigger. A beam of absolute, unyielding erasure shot forward.

Arthur warned, though his tone held a strange, calm detachment. The door swung open, revealing silhouettes of armored men. But they didn't fire. His face goes grim, and he motions for me to come closer. "There's at least four of them in there," he whispers. "And they're armed." My heart sinks. Four against two doesn’t sound like great odds, especially if they are armed. But I can't just give up. Not when Nora's life is on the line. "We have to take them out," I whisper back. "How?" Brynn whispers. Marlow cracks his knuckles. "Easy. I'll shift and take care of them." I give him a hard look. "I'm glad you figured out what your powers are, but let's be reasonable. You can't take them all on."

Now, of course, ‘Dynamico’s profits are soaring and Armel has the full support of his board, but I hear he still works all the hours God sends,” Marcus added and winked at her conspiratorially.
