A Fairy-tale Ending For A Fake Novels & Stories

It looked like it came straight from those fairytale's my mother used to tell me when I was a kid. I wanted it. Once I also wanted to live a fairytale life but soon reality hit me and I stopped dreaming. Because soon I realized fairytales aren't true. There's no happy ending in real life because there's always misery. If fairytales were true then I wouldn't be here, my whole world wouldn't have turned upside down. Suddenly I felt a chain tugging on my wrists making pain shoot through my arms making me stumble forward " Now move. I don't have all the time in the world" the guard barked before he continued to pull me towards the back of a dark corridor.

"Enough. You canceled our trip, ruined our plans—I've forgiven all that. We won't mention severance payment anymore. See how good I am to you?" I pulled away. "Stop wasting time. Sign the papers. Let's end this cleanly." Mother urged him. "Show her the gift we bought her!" Father hurriedly brought a large package. "You've always wanted this diamond bracelet, right? Father even used his retirement money to buy it!" I glanced at it—even from across the room, I could tell it was fake. These crystals had no natural energy signature. "Father, you spent $50,000 on her genuine necklace. For me, you bought flea market trash? If you're going to lie, at least spend enough money to buy a decent fake. D

and "calling the police." Before long, the police arrived. The lead officer frowned and asked, "Young man, this money is all fake. Where did you get it?" I stared at him in disbelief, frantically pulling the contract out of my pocket and shoving it toward him. "I didn't know! I earned it! I signed up for a clinical trial!" I shouted in a panic, "This has nothing to do with me!" He scanned the document, his frown deepening with every line. "You've been conned. This company is a front for a criminal syndicate. Did they draw your blood?"

In the end, I still said quietly, "Let's get a divorce." Doug immediately snapped, grabbing me and forcing a kiss on me. "You want a divorce over something this small? Stop making a scene. You're mine, dead or alive!" I curved my lips into a faint smile. It didn't matter. The marriage certificate was fake anyway. And soon enough, I really would "die" right in front of him. Two hours later, Chad came and took me from the house. When Doug rushed over, disheveled, Chad was calmly wiping down his gun with a white glove, his tone lazy.

Meanwhile, I made a fake call to myself. “Yes,” I said, answering the phone. I pretended to listen for a while. As the screen scrolled rapidly, I intended to prolong the conversation. “Yes, the amount is six million, I'm still waiting for the email.” I hoped the police wouldn't be too late. Otherwise, our exit wouldn't be as easy as I thought. “Yes, Luke Freeman will receive the money. He's my brother!” My mood improved as the accounts on the screen hit zero one by one. I didn't think I'd be having fun while in the middle of a dangerous situation, but I was actually enjoying myself quite a bit.

I explained, and this time his big brown eyes come to meet mine, offering me a small nod. “Yeah, I guess I get that.” He smiled. “So what else did I do seeing as you seem to have turned me into some serious romantic love-sick fool?” And there we lay for I don’t know how long discussing all the things we could explain with regards to out past together if anybody were to ask us. Some we were able to intermingle the truth of our friendship, others were well and truly imaginary, which we had fun creating. There had been so much laughter, and smiles as we lay side by side chatting about everything under the sun, building this oddly fake relationship we needed to make everyone else believe. Yet, b

No matter how good a dream is, we always have to snap back from it. All fairy tales usually have a happy ending, the prince saves the princess from an ogre, a knight in shining armor saves a lady from a hulky brute of a man and so forth. But the world lies, that is not what always happens. Fairy tales rarely have a happy ending. The prince will save the princess and trip down some stairs, fall down and break his neck. Or the lady will live for a few years as a wife to the night and die from child birth. The story tellers never give the actual tale, the sell what appeases to the eye and heart.

“How else would you have survived your mother’s lethal glares, the ladies’ attempts to fix your single status, and all the juicy gossip about your thrilling private life?” “Oh, I don’t know, darling. It wouldn’t be that hard,” he echoed, smirking. “I’d just say I pined for a dazzling socialite—Aurora, the charming lady who broke my heart in that one unforgettable night of passion…” “Oh no, you don’t!” I gasped in mock outrage. “Don’t you dare make up corny stories about me! At least make it exciting—like how the brave Aurora swooped in to save you from the blazing dessert—!”

“Then fake date.” “What?” I pause for her to laugh, then snort at her ridiculous idea when I realize she’s serious. “This isn't one of your cliche rom-com novels, Bibah.” She smacks my arm, hard this time. “Shut up.” Her eyes glint with determination as she carries on, explaining. “You only have to fake it until graduation, which is in like… weeks from now. It’ll at least solve half of your problems. Let the school think you’re happy and in love so your reputation doesn’t take another hit, work with him so both of you don’t flunk Mate 101, and then mutually dump each other like the dumb-asses that you are after graduation.”
