asked a deep, gravelly voice from a shadowy corner of the room. “Trust? No, father I do not trust him. He is reliable in that he knows the consequences of any . . . errors he may commit. Turning to God for His First Love

Turning to God for His First Love

" I froze. It turned out that the tears Evan had shed by the delivery bed weren't for me. The reason he had renounced his worldly pursuits wasn't to pray for me as well. Everything he did was for Jade. All the affection he had for me was never real. The reason Evan had named our son Jadon Moore wasn't at all because of his gratitude to God—but it was because of her! All that talk about the most perfect and grand marriage of convenience—they were all merely his lies. I was nothing more than a pawn in the game of love between him and his first love. Those once-sweet words had now turned into sharp blades, slicing away at my sanity.

I've only read 15 chaps so far, but this is a good piece. Though I think it needs a bit editing, but it's still a loveable story. I love the MC and her personality, more to rational and realistic. Hope MC won't end with the prince or other 'fishes', but still have her happy ending. Good job, Author~

Fated to the King of Dragons (book 3 of the APOD SERIES)

he grinned. Micheal leaned in further, “bets on what?” he whispered lowly. “The human.” Micheal blinked blankly at the god, unable to replay what was uttered to him. He shook his head, still frozen, watching as Peanut got up, leaving the table. “A human…his mate? His mate is human,” he mumbled to himself, his eyes snapping to the drunken god who had already swayed towards the tent opening. Placing a sachet of gold coins on the table he wandered after the drunken god, catching him in the shadows, grinning and waving drunkenly to a troop that jogged past into the night.
