My heart thumped in my chest, after reading the two words of the folded letter. It feels like the first love letter, crushes give you each other. And ironically it is my first-ever love letter. And I am so happy and feel like, my first teenage crush because the letter is something about the old time that I found very romantic. We may have cell phones nowadays, but the emotion you feel when you get a handwritten letter can never be compared to a text you send with the phone. And it's not because of the emotion, the text may carry the same words but it's about the effort and thought behind writing the letter.

It was short and simple, but she hoped it would be enough. *Dear Chris,* *I know this might come as a surprise, but I wanted to tell you how I feel. We’ve been in the same classes since tenth grade, and I don’t know when it started, but I really like you. I know you’re busy with basketball and everything, but I just wanted you to know. Even if you don’t feel the same way, I wanted to get it off my chest.* *—Elies Robert* A simple letter. Nothing too fancy, nothing that screamed desperation, she hoped. Just honest words.

One less thing for me to feel terrible about. “I’m sorry. I really am. You’re not mad at me, are you?” “I’ve known for years you had a crush on him.” She laughs at my gasp. “Please. He’d walk into the room, and your face would go bright red, and you’d start looking anywhere but at him. That’s a crush. And I mean, I guess I can’t blame you, even if it’s a little weird. But I’m not mad. I want you to be happy.”

"If I could go back in time and shake myself, tell myself to wake the hell up, I would. But I can't. All I can do is tell you now—tell you that I love you. I love you so much that it scares the hell out of me. And I can’t imagine a single day, a single breath, without you in it." Tears streamed down my cheeks, mingling with the rain. My hands trembled as I clutched his soaked shirt. "You don’t mean all that. You’re just saying this because you somehow got to know about my silly crush on you. You are just feeling bad for me." I teased. She came closer, holding her hand to my mouth. "Shh, someone might hear you," she exclaimed, her eyes widening in alarm. "Is it not a bad thing to have a crush on someone?" I teased, playfully nudging her. "Lyra, it's not a crush. I love Zach so much that I can't explain it," she confessed, her voice filled with sincerity. "He makes me feel so many things I can't just explain. When I see him, he seems to light up my world even without trying," she said dreamily, lost in her thoughts of him.

I spilt the tears. My heart was hammering in my chest, and I can't seem to stop replaying the moment. It was just too embarrassing that the person I've had a crush on since i first stare has his brown eyes, even if it was just for a short while, I still can't stop the memory of slap that still replay on my head. I just let my "pride" down and cry my heart out because it was just too hurt, not just because of the slap or the public but because I had a "CRUSH" on him, a crush on a lowful guy.

“ Falling in love with you is the most beautiful thing I have ever done because everyday has been colorful ever since. I miss you. ” I shut the letter and bent my head over. My heart raced and I felt my face heat up. To think he'd write something like this is just crazy but maybe… just maybe I like this crazy…
