They had been experiencing problems with rogue attacks. So, I sent four hundred of our toughest warriors to help. Rogues are wolves who don't belong to a pack. They are treacherous and filled with bloodlust. They don't live by the rules and laws of a pack, instead, they kill as they please, both human and supernatural creatures alike.

Oscar smiled. "Thank you for telling me," Indianna nodded. "May I ask, how comes you weren't a rogue? What's the different between a rogue and a lone wolf?" "Rogues are wolves that leave the pack out of choice. They are wolves that no longer want to be in the hierarchy of a pack. Lone wolves don't have a choice. Lone wolves are rejects, people that are kicked out, forced to leave. You can leave out of choice and be a lone wolf, but only if you still have the intention of being in a pack. If you don't... then you're a rogue."

I sounded dreamy but he was not blinking. "Look I am sorry, Mason." I looked at him. He didn't look too happy. "I'll leave here for now," he said with a pained look in his eyes. I watched him stop at the door. His gaze was sharp when he turned to look at me. "I'll give you a few more days to think about it," he was trying to suppress his anger. He was doing a good job at not killing me. I sighed as Mason left. This was the rogue king asking me to rule beside him. Did I really want to defy him? Rogues were known for being ruthless. They bowed to no one and yet here I was in a pack full of them, daring to anger their leader.

"Take her." They moved forward, but Zane stepped in front of me. "Try it." "You can't fight us all, Darius." "Want to bet?" A howl echoed through the forest. Then another. And another. Rogues emerged from the shadows. Dozens of them, surrounding the pack wolves. "You brought an army?" Alpha Thorne snarled. "I brought family." Zane smiled, all teeth. "The rogues you've been hunting? They're mine. Every last one."

“This rogue has no backbone I see, just another mutt that we need to dispose of.” I raised my eyebrow, carefully raising my forcefield as I watched them approach me, my tone laced with a loud growl. “You may think I’m a rogue with unworthy breading, but I don’t want to be a stupid Luna. Take the alpha for all I care. I don’t want him.” The blonde growled, clenching her painted nails at her side. “Don’t disrespect him in my presence mutt.”

We drive for hours, passing several bus stations before I am sure I am far enough that they cannot find me. “Are you sure about this?” Jess says as she pulls up to the bus station. Chewing on my bottom lip, I nod my head. “I do not have a choice. My mom is getting sicker. I have to put as much distance between us as I can.” Jess is the only person outside of my family that knows what I am. “I Ella Black of both the Red River Pack and the Silver Wolf Pack, break ties with both packs and declare myself rogue.” The bond between myself and the two packs sever, and it feels like I am being stab in the heart by a silver knife.

“A rogue...you’re a rogue.” It seems his whispered words got through to everyone for she became the centre of attention. Growls could be heard and yet instead of moving, instead of running for her life, she stood unmoving in her place. Rogues were frowned upon, they weren’t allowed anywhere near packs, especially not this one. She had been too bold, but right now, she didn’t care. Despite the commotion in the room, her eyes searched for Xavier, not being able to spot him through the crowd that had surrounded her.

Kamrynn's POV The word hits me like a blow to the chest, stealing the breath from my lungs. A rogue. They think I’m a rogue. It shouldn’t surprise me, not after I cut all ties with the Obsidian Pack, but hearing it said aloud feels like a final blow. Rogues are infamous for a reason—lone wolves cast out from their Packs, known to wreak havoc and bring chaos wherever they go. They’re dangerous, unpredictable… and they’re usually killed on sight.

This place was surrounded by the cloud so it was sort of invisible to outsiders. “I live with them,” Killian said as hundred more rogues came and stood behind Killian. Rogue were lone wolves who either were kicked out of their pack or just ran out of the pack on their own. Some were violent while others were peaceful. But something told me, these rogue were neither violent nor peaceful. They were just feral, driven by a common cause. I just hoped that cause wasn’t me. “I’ve been following your smell, Luna, from the forest. Look it brought me to you.”
