Nervously, I stammered out, "N-Nathalie. My name is Nathalie Salem Bentley." His response was a resounding silence. I tried once more, "So, your name is Lycan?" He appeared confused. "Lycan is the title of my pack. I hail from Lycan royalty, but now I am a rogue." I struggled to comprehend his words, but the fact that he was engaging in conversation with me was a promising sign. "What does it mean to be a rogue?" I asked, curiosity piqued. “It’s a werewolf who was banished from his pack. You wouldn’t know because you are human, aren't you?" he smirked.

I tell him, reading the heading of one blog. He's the pure definition of rogue for sure. "Yeah, that's his name!" Zander points out, snapping his fingers. I stare blankly at him. "What name?" "Rogue," he says, more clearly through my frown deepens even more. "Rogue?! What kind of name is that?" I say, cringing at the sound of it all over again.

Maddox said anxiously and I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at what he just said. "In case you're being blindsided by the mate bond, Maddox, rogues tend to be devious, and some of them like disguising themselves as a fragile and innocent one. You shouldn't judge a rogue by their innocent looks, they're called rogues for a reason and those reasons are not always good." I remind Maddox but his mind seems to be already clouded with great love for his mate and he only believes with the idea that his mate is good and can't do bad things like any other feral rogues.

The rogues all stood behind him, their backs leaning against the counter, "Well, glad you could make it, kid." Kid? Who did this punk think he was talking to? My wolf pushed to the surface instantly, "Brave," my voice came out deeper than normal, "Stupid, but brave." "Not stupid," the rogue stepped forward, "It's actually smart. We get paid, and you die. Not sure how you've managed this long, but it doesn't matter now."

Crowns even more so. I caught a gaze now and realized that a young rogue was looking at me with a unique glint in his eyes— something close to reverence. “Rumors say you carry light in your blood,” he said. “That you speak the truth that no one dares to whisper— so I heard.” Ridiculous, but poetic. Another whispered, “The Luminara… that’s the name.” The title drifted between the rest of the Rogues like a spark catching dry grass.

But the mention of a rogue stirred something within her—a flicker of curiosity and unease. Alpha Rowan, the Alpha of the Red moon pack, stood at the pack’s main hall, his presence commanding as he observed the rogue being dragged in by two warriors. The rogue’s head hung low, blood trickling from a gash on his forehead. Despite his disheveled appearance, there was an air of defiance in his posture. “State your name,” Alpha Rowan ordered, his voice firm. The rogue lifted his head slowly, his piercing green eyes locking with Rowan’s. “My name is Corbin,” he said, his tone calm despite his circumstances.

West, another of Alpha Killian's men, tells me with a low chuckle as he carries on walking without even sparing me a glance through his shoulder. I cast a backward glance at the two wolves and the other guy who are walking behind me. The bigger wolf has the same brown smooth fur as Lancelot, and for a moment I let my mind drift over to him. Surprisingly I haven't thought about him that much, maybe because I've been too overwhelmed with the Alpha Killian and his pack members. But what if Killian is bringing me here to kill me, so he and his men can feast on my flesh? There are actually different kinds of packs that do feed on rogues/slaves.

Not having to worry about rogue attacks was probably the only advantage of being a rogue. When Lucianne asked Stella if she could share any specific scenes that she loved at night, the teenager’s eyes sparkled and she got out her phone with an excited grin to show Lucianne pictures from her photo gallery. Which meant no leader and other packs kill rogue on sight due to their lawlessness and no loyalty. They are like rodents eating your vegetables in the garden. No one liked rogues. Funny enough that is what I was, my brother and parents. We had to leave our pack behind because of Alpha Keeram, many packs feared him. Unfortunately mine was one of them, my Alpha Jake feared him so much so, that he was going to hand me over like a present. That's why we had no other choice but to go rogue and hide.
