I chewed my meat and potatoes, ate some toast, swallowed, and wiped my lips with another of the cloth napkins laid out on the white tablecloth.
"The boy in question is not stealing from you." I stared at him. "Not now. He did. In the past. Not in the distant past, though..."
"You mean he stole from me," he interrupted me.
"That is correct, he stole you in the past. And he knew how to hide it. He's good at what he does."
