He looked toward the hooded stranger.
"They all end here."
The stranger nodded.
"They all begin here as well."
Before Adrian could ask another question, the shelves surrounding them slowly separated.
A vast circular chamber emerged between them.
Unlike the endless library, this place contained no books.
Only mirrors.
Hundreds of enormous mirrors.
Each taller than a castle gate.
Each covered by white cloth.
The stranger walked toward the nearest one.
His footsteps echoed strangely, as though another person walked beside him.
