About Revenge Novels & Stories

As though the revenge I imagined would fill some void inside me, and instead it just revealed how deep the void really is. Greer nodded slowly. That is because revenge is not about filling voids. It is about balancing scales. And scales, once tipped, can never be truly balanced again. Something always remains, some weight that can never be accounted for. Then what is the point? Why bother with justice at all?

I thought I could redeem my action by apologizing and end the hatred he must have kept. But, too late, he lifted it to meet me for a second with a serious face. “Revenge.” “I see.” I hummed, curling my lips upward hollowly. “If you ever feel like putting us equal and end this, you can slap me back. I won’t mind.” I sighed, fidgeting my fingers around my dress, feeling a strange clench in my heart. “I don’t hit people.” He mumbled, rolling his eyes off. “What are you going to do for the sake of it then?” I asked, curious to know if it wasn’t an eye for an eye then what could it be.

“Alexander please don't do this. I know you're disappointed but is there no other way? I'll ask my parents to apologize but please don't kill them. I don't want to lose them.” “You think I'm willing to lose my parents, Kimbeerly? I'm just like you in not wanting to lose my parents but what did your parents do? They even brutally murdered them and didn't give them any chance, so no forgiveness is in order. I want to avenge my parents just like my father did.”

And not when I discovered something else. This wasn't all about grief. This was about rage. Rebel wasn't just broken. She was sharpening herself into an instrument of revenge. And someone would pay.

"Then I'm going to start from scratch. I'm going to build my way up and make sure I get my revenge. I'm not just going to sit around and wait for them to catch me again while nursing their betrayal." She sighed. "Fine. What are you planning to do?”

she opens her mouth a few times, searching for the words, but I gently hold her hands and shake my head. “It’s not your fault. Things just… turned out this way. Maybe this was how our story was meant to end. It started with a foolish act of revenge—and in the end, revenge is exactly how it died.”

His voice was calm, but firm. “Then why?” she whispered. “So you can get revenge,” he said, not softening. The word struck odd and hard in the hum of the party. “Get your life back.” Her breath hitched. “Why?” “Because you deserve it,” he replied. His gaze was steady, unflinching. “Because the bastard deserves everything that’s coming.” Selene’s breath caught, a surge of anger flooding through her. "What do you mean?" "He’s been playing you for years. You think he’s the man you married, but he’s not. He’s nothing more than a coward."

"And so are you if you think your feelings matter in this, because it doesn't. Right now, you're a stupid twenty-three year old who peaked in college and has no prospects for the future. You should be grateful to me for giving you a future you could only dream of!" Brandon’s throat bobbed as he swallowed. Then he took a step forward. "You told me we were building something. That we would take back what was stolen from us. But this isn’t a strategy. It’s just pure revenge for you. You're not helping me secure my future, you just want to hurt your enemies." I studied him for a long moment. "Revenge is the purest form of strategy," I said finally. "It eliminates doubt and it forces action. And

"And you need to understand something important. It doesn't give second chances for revenge. Revenge is petty, personal, ultimately meaningless in the grand scheme of things." "Then why?" I demanded. "Why bring me back if not for revenge?"

After all, she had not experienced it before. "Caroline, my child is not coming back even if she ended up like this, and my body won't return to how it was previously." Caroline kept quiet. Paige said, "I no longer understand the meaning of revenge." "No, that's because you haven't seen her suffering," Caroline said. "The meaning of revenge is to let her feel your suffering and make her regret what she did to you in the past." Paige smiled. "I would like to see her suffering indeed."
