Academia Novels Novels & Stories

The world tilted. Head of Literature. That meant… that meant my Literature Department. The one I was enrolled in. The one where I had classes starting next week. The one where I would be seeing him, not across a dimly lit bar, but across a lecture hall. Or worse, in a small seminar room, his storm cloud eyes dissecting my essays. Fuck. A cold dread seeped into my bones, chilling me far more effectively than the air conditioning. This wasn't just a random, incredibly hot, incredibly reckless one night stand. This was a direct collision course with my academic future. My scholarship. My entire carefully constructed life.

The idea of eating breakfast makes me nauseous. I exit my room and pause in the hallway, because I've no idea where classes are in this place. There wasn't time to show me around. The Academy is a three-story mansion that resembles a Victorian-Goth style architecture. Well, I'll look around until I find someone to show me the way or find it myself. My sneakers squeak across the title as I stroll down the hallway, the book of magical history tucked under my arm. I scratch at the collar of my shirt which feels like it's choking me and soaked in so much starch it's stiff like it could stand up on its own.

The professor turned pale when she saw me, and the man looked my way, and I was shocked when I recognized him. My mouth widened in disbelief as I saw the man who was eating her out was our new Psychology Professor. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Professor Buenaventura is one of the most respected professors on campus because of her beauty, sophistication, and intelligence, so it was impossible to believe what I was seeing. But when I realized that it was really her and that they were having sex inside her office on school property, my respect for her plummeted. It was a disgrace to have sex inside the school property.

NOVA I didn't sleep well. That's what happens when you try to live a life that isn't yours and survive in a den of monsters. But I haven't forgotten the main reason that brought me to the academy. And that's why I'd sneaked into the library a few minutes ago. It's almost seven a.m. Therefore, I have to be quick about this. My fingers skim along the books on the shelf in the Ceremony and Culture section, and finally, I find a red book. It's titled "The Red Moon Tournament."

I didn't often went here because it lacks sunlight and ligh5 in this part and kind of scary as well but it's alright now that I am already a grown up lady and is engaged. There, I looked through it and found out that a couple of novels are hiding in this place. I was shocked of course because I was definitely told that this place is onky for academic books so how come that there's a lot of books in it? Not to mention, some are even erotic so I can't help but frown in comfusion Who the h*ll put these novels here? Anyway, I love novels so it's fine. Actually, I want to try reading one and I hope to know who put these things bere so that I can read more in the future and ask her - him for more

The lady swayed the floating book in front of her and stared directly at him, "Once again, you did not make an effort to be back at the palace on time. You were involved in a death case, and even though you were proven innocent, you are now under the Academia's radar which is undesirable for both of us in every possible ways. When all's said and done, this is the sanction you and I have agreed to execute should you commit any type of misconduct, am I being understood?" "Y-Yes,” he surrendered. "Here it is . . read this page now — without putting those books down, if you’d be so kind.” Her newly opened book turned into Tristan’s sweaty and fatigued face. “This is a compilation of unsolved mys

She instructed her best friend and rushed to the bathroom. "What's this?" Tasha found something on her desk. she picked up the booklet and turned the pages, "A new novel?" she exclaimed. "Wait!" Arielle shouted from the bathroom, she had the habit to write it down instead of typing her stories, she used her gift to write 2-3 chapters of her new novel last night before going to bed. She rushed out with the toothbrush still on her hand. "Give that to me." "Nope. You're writing a new novel? A romance novel at that?" Tasha ran around the room reading the notes.

'Expect some drama at the celebration,' she wrote. The school's hundred-year anniversary attracted top educators and major sponsors. I held Clara's hand and spotted Caspian with his arm around Aveline's waist. The whispers around me were deafening. "He doesn't take any loss. Flunked the exam, got dumped by Aveline, and now he's kissing up to the mafia princess." "Like father, like son. I heard that his dad sells fish, and his mom's crazy. No surprise he's up to nothing."

“But the power imbalance alone creates concern.” Concern. “As faculty, you are the authority in that classroom.” “Yes,” she said evenly. “Which is precisely why nothing happened.” He steepled his fingers. “Even so, when a student publicly expresses sexual interest in a professor, it raises questions. Especially when that professor specializes in—” he paused delicately, “—public scandal.” Her lips pressed into a thin line. “I teach political history.” “And you are now part of a narrative,” he said. A narrative. She almost laughed.

Mateo and I approach his bedside. “I’m going to die soon,” he says matter-of-factly. “Days, maybe hours. So I’m going to tell you both the truth, and you are going to listen.” He looks at Mateo first. “You are not a monster but you are not innocent either. You have a weakness for complicated women in compromised positions. Maybe you don’t seek them out intentionally. Maybe you are just spectacularly bad at boundaries. Either way you need to stop teaching. Find another career because clearly academia brings out the worst in you.”
