The ruling was effectively a death sentence. When the verdict was read, Vincent broke down at the defendant's table. He slumped forward and sobbed. I stopped breathing. “He was executed for having an explicit relationship with a werewolf?” I looked up at Alec, hoping he’d tell me I’d misread it. “Yes, sir. The order was for the execution of Adrian Valentine and the child conceived during the affair.” Alec’s voice was a low whisper now. “According to the reports, Mr Valentine killed the child himself before the Enforcers arrived.”

It was time to go. “Please, get in the car. I’ll catch you up.” Ace asked to Cameron. Cameron nodded, giving a quick look to Diego. Diego was completely destroyed. When Ace was alone just with Diego, he dared to smile mockingly at seeing Diego was finally paying for what he did, or for what he should have never done. “What?
