They didn’t even flinch when they saw Daemon. One of them stepped forward. He was older, sharp-jawed, with a scar running down his cheek. His voice was cold as ice. “Name.” Daemon didn’t hesitate. “Daemon Dray. Alpha of Ironclad pack and the sovereign. I seek passage. Under the old accord.” The guard arched a brow. “You came unannounced. No seal. No offering.” “We were attacked,” Daemon said, his voice tight with anger. “Your men nearly killed us.”

"We will consult Lilith in Daemon territory. She will be able to give us some insight." "The daemons do not give information freely." Rhys snarled, and I turned to look at him. His honey eyes were hollow, dark circles ringing them. My heart broke a little more. "Lilith owes me a favor." Xander merged onto the highway. "One I plan on calling in." The trip to Daemon territory was only a few hours, since we were crossing the thinnest part of the Fae territory. It would take two days from there to make the trek to the Vampyr territory. And that was without stopping to keep up appearances.

Damon turned towards his father, “Do you have any suggestions?” Damien was silently thinking when his eyebrows raised and a smile graced his face, “We should ask Edmond.” We all looked at him expectantly, wanting to know who that is. “Edmond is our pack Elder who has a special and rare gift. You see, he is like a Seer, an all-seeing one, stubborn as hell, but a good-hearted old man.” Damien said, making our eyebrows rise, hearing that and more than ever agreeing to that idea, as Damon left and rushed to find the old dragon.

"Your blood is divine. Study it if you want to make a breakthrough with it. I have a feeling it will be the answer to everything."

She hadn’t expected this. “There’s a law in this kingdom,” Daemon continued, and his voice had become something that seemed to silence even the city beyond the square. “A law that says men who love men deserve death. That unnatural relations are corruption. That authenticity is perversion. And I’m here to tell you that law is a lie. And anyone who hides beneath it is a coward. And I’m done being a coward.” He took a step forward. The guards didn’t stop him. “My name is Daemon Ashford,” he said. “I murdered my father. I loved a man for ten years in secret. I choose neither of those things with shame. I choose both of them with absolute certainty that they made me human instead of machine.”

“Go back to your room and study.” She murmurs before turning her back to me. I went into my room again and took my notebook out of the bag. I raised my eyebrows when I heard Relyon’s voice outside the house. He’s Uncle Leo’s son. Uncle Leo is also my Mom’s brother. Relyon is only 11 years old. What is he playing? It’s still bright outside... Wait, why does he seem to shout? Because of curiosity, I looked out the window, and I saw him looking up at the tree and shouting.

Selene Luna.” He lowered his voice. “It's sad that she had to die that way.” “Yes it is sad,” Daemon whispered, his eyes briefly growing gloomy.

She demanded, her tone shifting to her inner Lady. Ambrose ran a shaky hand through his hair, as he looked at both Joe and Sephora, "Lord Daemon - he can teleport. And not just himself, but other people, objects, anything he wishes." The blood leached from Joe's face, just as it was Sephora turn to silently curse. Ambrose wasn't finished, "The scouts wouldn't pick up anything. If Lord Daemon had teleported them to their destination, they wouldn't be seen passing over the border into someone's territory." "Shit." Joe spat. He began pacing, as he glanced back to Ambrose, raw panic in his dark eyes. Sephora felt dread line her stomach, and she braced herself as Joe just said, "The veil-stones."

His arms caught her body before he carried her in bridal style. Cohen felt anger in him as he watched Mira’s body rested in the arms of another man. The man carried her away, greeted by a black void that appeared out of nowhere. Amanda stopped the time right there like a movie on pause. She circled the unknown man, trying to look for any hints of his identity. With the hood covering half of his face, she couldn’t be so sure who the man could be. There was an emblem on his cloak — a symbol of Phoenix. Although she couldn’t make out his identity, Amanda was sure that this man was a daemon. His power was too strong; even right now, she could feel as if he was there for real. “So it was truly a
