"Trace the exact maternal lineage of the Ethiopian King." "Write a 500-word theological breakdown of the Primordial Chaos." All around me, the elite Awakeners of Class 1 are scribbling furiously, treating this like basic kindergarten math. I, meanwhile, am staring at a violently blank screen. My entire knowledge of Western mythology comes strictly from Marvel movies, Disney cartoons, and unhinged internet memes. If he asks me about Thor's abs or Hades's sassy flaming hair, I'm covered. But the messy, obscure family trees of ancient Greek deities? Not a chance.

All pulled straight from ancient legends. “What’s Greek mythology, Uncle Handsome?” Summer asked, plopping down on the floor across from him. They sat cross-legged, facing each other like old friends. Artemis collapsed onto the sofa and started scrolling through her phone. “It’s the stories and gods of ancient Greece,” Apollo explained. “Your Grandpa Hades is named after the God of the Underworld. Your dad—Helios—is the God of the Sun. That’s why I thought you named her Summer.” Ah. That made sense. The Sun God and the hottest season—of course Apollo would connect the two. I’d never known Helios’s name had roots in mythology.

Like a million voices screaming at once. “For the one you are bonded to is the key to the rebellion that will finally deliver her people and every oppressed creature of the world!” I can still hear the oracle’s voice beneath the deafening screeches. What does she mean? Athena is the key to delivering her people? And every oppressed creature? What does this mean? “Zeus!” Athena’s voice suddenly cuts through everything. I look. Athena. She's standing in front of me. Only she isn’t standing in the room.

He came out half dead. And the first thing he did—before anything else—was come find me. To ask if I would be his queen. I cried and nodded yes. He held me tight against his chest. "Elara. I'll be good to you. Always." The dream was too lovely to last. I woke to the sound of furious gods pounding at my doors, demanding answers. It turned out that to please that girl, Aetheon had issued a divine decree on his own—he'd lifted her dead pet hound into the night sky and made it a constellation. The stars themselves had shifted out of alignment.

While Zhu Wushang, Tian Xiulan, and Liu Xiling were still confused at the implication of the situation in front of them. Aurelia who knew what the old man in front of her represented, suddenly felt a headache about what was going to happen. Who’s Zeus? The most degenerate and hypocritical Gods in the world. While trying to act like an all-powerful god who oversees all life on earth, Or at least the life of mortals within his jurisdiction. On the other hand, according to the lore and myth, she knew if even half of it is true then, He was the number one pervert god in the world. And that was just only Zeus himself, there are many gods in the Greek Pantheon that are not any better. Such as Pose

They didn’t sound spoken, they felt remembered. “Aetherborn was the world of all magical creatures, the way Earth belongs to mankind. Its lands thrummed with living energy, its oceans glittered with molten light. The skies were home to dragons, and the seas whispered with spirits older than the moon. Here, every being, witch, fae, vampire, dragon, beast, or djinn was born of the same essence: Aether.” The scenery bloomed around her as the voice spoke.

I look back down as I lick my teeth with another growl as I get off the bitch and point at her. “You’re dead.” I snarl at her. “Nina, what did you do?” Asteria still has hold of me as she turns to face the siren. “Nothing, she attacked me.” she whimpers and I laugh and so does my dad. “Do you have any idea who she or he is?” Asteria points to me and my dad and the siren shakes her head. “She is Gaia, the Goddess of Hell and Harbinger of Death. He is Fenrir, her father. So I will ask you again. What. Did. You. Do?”

Elira turned her body towards Kaelric. “You didn't know? And Elira is probably a few years over twenty. My king isn't that against Arkenholt’s law?” Aetherion quirked a brow in jest. Kaelric groaned at Aetherion. “Dragonbloods age differently.” He explained only to clear Elira’s mind. “Aetherion is a reincarnation of his ancestors' ashes, he’s basically centuries old.” “Well, I have no recollection of their past lives so I’m only twenty-two.” He pouted and took a sip of wine.

"There was once in a world long forgotten, the love that spawned the seed for the whole multiverse; the name of that love was Aether, the name given to the romance that arose between eternity and chaos." ⋅• ♱ •⋅
